Pretty sure he hasn't actually signed yet but he's said all along that he wants to stay in New Zealand. Though with the money Dan Carter looks set to earn maybe he's reconsidering...

Well, I guess they should be rumours supported by something. Unlike Leroy's crazy claims above about Mike Gibson and co... :pac:

Don't think McCaw is motivated by money and if he was, Munster would be outbid for him anyway. As an All Black captain, probably a RWC winning All Black captain, I doubt he'll ever have to sell organs to make the mortgage payments.

I heard that a straight swap of Richie McCaw for Alan Quinlan has already been agreed - that way we get around the small matter of payment. :D

This interview seems to kill any rumour of Tonetti joining Munster: http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/sport/2011/0422/1224295254585.html
He implies he's going no where.

Hope he's not gonna join munster. We need a big name like Jean DeVilliers again. Sure, he didnt start the best but once he settled he was very good for us.

We need to settle on someone too as getting a new 12 every year is no way to move forward, De Villiers last year, Tuitupou this year. Find a proven quality player from where ever and stick with him.

SCRUM-HALF Tomás O’Leary has suffered a recurrence of the back injury that kept him out of Ireland’s last two RBS Six Nations games.

O’Leary was to have played for Munster A against Moseley today, having recovered from a freak eye injury, suffered while undergoing speed training with a sled.

However, he suffered a relapse of his back problem in a training session in Cork.

Denis Hurley has been named in the A squad after recovering
    from a knee injury.

    MUNSTER A (from):
    R O’Mahoney; JJ Hanrahan, D Hurley, S Scanlon, L O’Dea, T Smith, C Hircock,
    S Deasy, G Quinn McDonagh,
    D Williams, C Sheridan,

    D Hurley, D Fogarty, S Henry, J Ryan, D Kilcoyne, A Cotter, S Archer,
    B Hayes, B O’Hara, D Foley, B Holland, P O’Mahony, P Butler.

That's tough on O'Leary, he's out now for a while and must be chomping at the bit ti get back.

A Team - That's a decent team heading over and hopefully it will be another success for Munster A's.

Gutted for TOL. Probably good news for munster though

Kearneys injury created the unleashing of nacewa at fb.

Great. Now TOL is going to be even more not match fit when he's parachuted back into the Irish team.

Munster won 34 - 22, two good results away from home today.

I've no idea but Munster had to field 46 players today in two different games with a few on the injured list too and yet managed two wins away from home, not bad for the end of a season.

As an aside that 5 wins in the trot away from home too and the 1st time in a long time that we've beaten the Os away from home.

they came second in group C of the championship

That is to say that they are in the second tier of english professional rugby and at the end of the regular season, the league divides into 3 groups of four which play home and away again.

They were in the third group so they finished the season in 10th place in the championship. They are a pro team but they are pretty poor. It was a decent run out for Munster's seconds.

By the time August comes around NO player will be match fit seeing as there are no games in June/July.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before but a friend who knows Barry Murphy informed me last night that Murphy is apparently off to Biarritz next season.

If he is good luck to him, there is no doubting his talent but he can't seem to get a good run without injury and I don't think Munster should take the risk of relying on him

EDIT Just to note I have heard that his contract isn't being renewed so maybe there is some truth the story about him moving abroad

    As a professional rugby player?

    Ah that's harsh

It would be a fantastic move for him. Its the type of club that he should be attracting. A move to France would, hopefully, do wonders for his injury record like it has for Wilkinson.

He wouldn't command a big pay day so it wouldn't be too a big risk for Biarritz.

I hope there is truth behind the rumours.

I think Munster should and will let him go.

So there'll be some changes in next seasons squad:
    Dave Ryan
    Buckley
    Hayes (prpbably)
    Quinlan
    Tuitupou
    Barry Murphy (probably)
    Dowling

A few more to follow I'd say mainly because they're starting to trust the young players.
