    Decent score at the moment.

Are you at the game or picking up the score from elsewhere? If you're there, care to say how the Munster lads are looking.

Brilliant result considering the squad we had for the match.

Anyone know the team we put out?

Anyone know the team we put out?

Munster U20s Development: Garrett O’Suillebhain; Steve Dinan, Kevin Slater, JJ Hanrahan, Paul Curtis; Eamonn Mills, Neil Cronin; Cian O’Donnell, Niall Scannell, Jake Considine; Sean Monaghan, Jack Donovan; Ben Crumplin, Miah Cronin, Luke Cahill. Replacements: James Rael, David Canny, Niall Horan, Jamie Kind, Brian Haugh, Shaun Horgan, James Kiernan, Tom Ryan.

Some decent players not playing or on the subs bench there.

Did anyone see the game? Would I be right in guessing the Leicester team was physically a good bit bigger?

I'd say they would be further ahead in terms of physical development so in that regard it was a good result.

So the Amlin cup S/F pairings are Clermont V Stade and Munster/Brive Vs Quins, hopefully, we'll get through tomorow and have Quins in TP at the end of the month.

Leicester's take on things. They aren't really concerned with naming any Munster players.

    IRISH VICTORY FOR TIGERS ACADEMY
9 April 2011, 8:33 am ::Match Report By Tigers push hard
    close to the Munster tryline
Leicester Tigers kicked off an Irish Heineken Cup weekend
with victory for the Academy against Munster at Naas.
Geordan Murphy, a former Naas player and whose family
are still involved with the club, was among the crowd as
Tigers won 23-20 in a hard-fought and entertaining game.
But they had to do it the hard way after conceding a try in
the opening phase of the game.

Fly-half Rory Lyn kicked the visitors' opening points with a
penalty and then converted a try as Joe Cobden chipped
through and won the race to get the final touch on the ball.

Lynn kicked again to extend the lead to 13-7 and Tigers
twice went close to improving that with drives to the line,
only to be stopped just short.

Tigers lost Luix Roussarie and then Charlie Clare to the sin
bin in quick succession and Munster made them pay as
they worked the ball out to the left wing for a try just
before half -time. The conversion hit the left-hand post as
    Tigers led by one point.

The Irish pack conceded a penalty at a scrum in the
opening exchanges of the second half and Lynn added the
three points from the right touchline.

But Munster rallied quickly and scored their third try of the
evening, with the ball being driven up through the forwards
and then spun out to the right wing for the score which
gave them the lead at 17-16.

A penalty then gave Munster another three points, but
Tigers fought back with some strong carries among the
forwards and then Roussarie darted from the base of a
ruck to score at the base of the posts. Lynn added the
    extras for a three-point lead.

The visitors then defended strongly in the face of intense
pressure at a series of set-pieces inside their own 22, but
held out to preserve the three-point advantage.

I would have thought that getting 26,000 for a home S/F against Quins wouldnt need too much selling, even in this current economic climate.

Have no idea, this is virgin territory for Munster being in the knockout stage of the Amlin cup.

I paid €22 for a terrace ticket for the ML game last week against Leinster.
The H/C terrace tickets are around €30.

Very good game for the neutral yesterday, enjoyed it.

After yesterday's game, I think that my claim that Munster's back 3 is more dangerous than Leinster's is truly justified (despite Nacewa's brilliance). We have a back three to match anyone else's in the NH in attack. Hopefully Jones can stay injury free and show why Cheika was so p*ssed off about him leaving.

If we sign a top centre and a big physical NIQ backrow on a 2 year deal we should be back in the running for the HC much sooner than anyone thought in January. Getting knocked out of the HC may prove to be a blessing in diguise as Murray and Jones may not have been given the same chance to prove themselves in the HC.

I agree with the blessing in disguise part of that post, munster seem to be regenerating. A good few big cup matches to come now should set things up for a renewed assault on the HEC next year.

How did you figure that one out? The two back 3s came up against each other only the other week. Munster's back 3 didn't even come close to scoring a try whereas Leinster's back 3 created a magnificent try.

Based on 3 games? Talk about getting ahead of yourself.

Agreed! Especially since Leinsters back three were playing against Leicester, who obviously aren't a patch on the mighty Brive.

On a serious note, Jones has looked very promising. Counter-attacking comes naturally to him, which is something thats lacking in Irish rugby.
Earls is without doubt Irelands 11, the idea of him and Bowe playing together is something I look forward to.

Oh my lord! Think that Star Trek facepalm thing would be justified after that post!
