Míchael is a very impressive debater though..

Enda Kenny would have sat there smiling like he did with the Sinn Féin question on the LLS... btw, has anybody noticed.. Enda doesnt use that stupid avuncular smile any more... and people take him seriously..

I'm getting the feeling Mickey may have bitten off more than he can chew doing Vinnie's programme...:)

at least he has the liathreoidi to speak to vb, others are afraid to go on his programme, so fair due to mr martain

FF should still be garrotted at the the ballot box, but Martin's analysis is 100% correct, and if Browne had taken the same analysis that Martin presented instead of "they're all ogres and should be clubbed" then Martin wouldn't be able to make the entirely legitimate point that Browne is being partisan and simplistic and FF wouldn't be able to play the "we're the serious party" card.

Egg on your face Michéal "let's not dwell on the past" Martin you spoofer.

    Well done Vincent!

Does Martin think he's going to sway people with this smug performance?

The real issue was ff's inabilty to run a surplus during good times, and to be honest i in part blame unions who where always quicking up their heels driving up costs, and ff wherent able to put foot down.
That and Bank of Scotland going in for 100% low rate mortgages.

I have say i find martin interesting in his interviews has bit of laugh and handles himself well, wouldnt see kenny handle this.

Martin says that vb is dwelling on the past, yet he always takes cheap-shots about Sinn Féin from 20 years ago..bloody hypocrite

far from on the ropes in my view, handling most of what vb throws at him, and as any good debater will do he takes an element of control

Ironic- if Micheal Martin hadn't wrecked the health service, they might have been able to help him with his amnesia :pac:

answer the bloody question - have you any interest in going back into government?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,934 ✭✭✭goat2

tonight michael martain has done brilliantly, not like the leaders debate the last night, where questions were known before time, at least he did not know what was about to be trown at him, and he has shown he has what it takes to lead

And after all that, MM didn't answer the question.

    How're they all in Cork?

doesnt matter what he says, - if he felt so strongly - HE SHOULD HAVE RESIGNED IN DISGUST.
