    Sure they can!
When I'm less tired, I must look again and see how it's done properly! :o
Is this on the Cork marathon route?
That particular one is looking downstream, towards Blackrock, from the 15 mile mark. It's not on the route, but the road directly behind is on the route -if you get my drift (pun intended! :D ). The 2011 Half Marathon will come directly up here and join the Marathon/Relay route as it emerges immediately to the right of the photo (out of shot)

The frozen lake I ran around yesterday:

I was tempted to venture out but not stupid enough.

If you open up the shots in your gallery view, right-click an image, and select copy image url, it gives you an absolute path to the picture.
Then just paste it between a couple of [IMG][/IMG] tags and you're laughing.

I wouldn't say I run this often but I took this during the Four Peaks a couple of years ago. That man stood there all day watching over all the participants...Sorry, forgot to say it was Leg one of the weekend - Carrauntoohil

Looks like a scene from Lord of the Rings (without the road sign in the backround of course).

  • Registered Users Posts: 830 ✭✭✭ocnoc

I think it looks pretty cool.
Then again, I like all the old Irish legends of the Na Fianna and all that jazz.

Orange sky over Lug. View from Rathdrum Avoca road. Plan to run again there this summer.

Best time to run down Djouce - when there is a foot a snow covering the rocks :D

Also had to chase the dying light,so another incentive to keep moving.

Smashing picture. Ever run up Lug via Table Track from Glenmalure or Imaal, or up the ZigZags? Something I've wanted to do for a while now (that, and the Glenmalure circuit).

Taa. Last year we ran on Lug from 3 variations: 1) via Camarahill 2) via Kellys Lough (as part of Circuit of Avonbeg) and 3) from Fraughan Rock Glen. Each great in their own right.

Awesome. You cannot beat Welly on a sunny day. I used to run a lovely LSR around the bays and back up around Island Bay. Very jealous, Summer or Winter.
