Well, it shows Dublin in the clear. And here in South Dub at 10.30pm it is a cloudless starry night with a fresh breeze and -2C.

Northside of cork city (silversprings, north ring road, blackpool etc) freezing quite a bit now. Cars are white but roads seem ok so far. Car reading the temp as 2degrees.
    Clear starry sky! Brr!

Temp about 0.6c, very windy, no snow or anything else for a good while now , expected temp to have dropped more with skies clearing, wind probably not east enough and to much of it, looks like it's going to be a hit and miss scenario, hope tomorrow brings a bit more of the white stuff...

Current snow depth before I go to bed is 3cm lying.

If you give a cm for every hour till I get up there would be 11cm when I awake but done think that much.

Think 7cm is the max Sligo town will get tonight. But there is a high possibility of some more heavy snow in the town Friday evening and Night and this could add just as much again bringing a total of near 15cm or 6 inches (careful!) if you prefer.

Rathduff on the Mallow Road (Cork) had clear skies and temp reading from the car was 0degrees at 11.30. Lots of roadspray still being kicked up by cars on the road though.

Mallow - clear skies and temp reading from the centre of town was 1degree but that could have been heat soak from the engine as we were stopped. On the main roads just outside the town it was back to 0degrees. Clear skies

Clear skies really the whole way from Ringaskiddy to almost Kanturk.

Strange looking cloud sitting on the top of the mountains that are on the Killarney road. (Dunno what it might be called or what the mountains are called either :o ) Looked like a bit of pizza dough being spun on a hand is about the best description i can give. The moonlight lit it up as silvery -very pretty!

Clear skies apart from that until we hit Kanturk. Car measuring -1 degree (but again dunno how reliable readings from cars would be). Lots of cloud over Kanturk for the last while. Frost but no snow :(
