Cherry, being serious for a sec, can you name one moment he was personally entertaining tonight? Not having a go, genuine question...

Its his whole demeanor with the guests, he can laugh and joke with them, put them at ease. He makes the LLS fun to watch, which is not something that could be said when Pat Kenny was hosting it!
And if you've ever been to the show itself, you'll see exactly what he's like with the audience during the ad breaks and after the guests leave the stage.

Must have been good in the Green room,

Robbie Williams buzzing on ecstasy (according to himself), talking Sh**e to Gordon Brown and Daniel O'Donnell

I'd love to see a stream of that, sort it out RTE.

    Daniel is a droning bore.

This is really boring. I feel like my life is wasting away.

I think that the main problem with the LLS today is its format. At over 2 hours long its just too long, none of the UK chat shows are that long. But I suppose RTE need its advertising fees that it pulls in...

I could concede on some things such as the "oversized" studio band but it needs a new host that is more fluid and engaging like many of the UK chat shows, take your pick...Ross, Norton, Paul O'Grady, (all seasoned "live" stage comedians btw who took that experience with them from the clubs into their TV careers)

And get younger (and older) guests on, mix it up a bit more, not the usual middle Ireland brigade (how about someone not plugging product for a change too)

Trim it to an hour and you might start to make it more modern...

I've been to the show. I got a picture with DLB. I put my arm around him and felt his spine. It was not nice.

He nervously rubbed my back vigorously as the photo was being taken. He was jittery and nervy and very ill at ease.

Laughing and joking with the guests??? Are you talking about his phony laugh?

Seriously like, did you not see Take That earlier or Jack Black last week? Far from a laugh it was. Like a funeral broke out in montrose.

but i do agree he's just about better than pat who is still one of the best current affairs people around i might add.

Hey less of the personal abuse. We don't do that type of thing on the legendary LLS thread.

This is not AH (or AF or whatever you want to call it)

What happened to your observation that you should attack the post and not the poster?

    Hypocrite maybe?
