Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I'd really appreciate some feedback about the website <link removed> It is a new Irish website selling domains, hosting, SSL certs etc.

    There is still a lot of work to be done, but would like other peoples views so I know what to work on.

    That animation is irritating and ineffective. It promotes an expensive offering €450 :eek: and the fading in and out servers are distracting. Dump the whole thing and put your 4 pricing plans in there.

    No page background colour specified.

    Ugly URLs.

    Spelling and punctuation mistakes.

    Poor text contrast.

    Poor site speed.

    Poor or missing calls to action.

    Domains page has .ie too far own the list. Use 'Check Domain' instead of Go on the submit button.

    Tables based layouts are not good practice.

    Poor use of semantic markup especially for headings.

    Poor SEO

    Unnecessary Home button in nav.

    An awful lot of scripts and style sheets being used. Many if them look unnecessary.

    Add ons look like poor value. Many of those features are available by default and for free on other hosting packages. Charging monthly fees for once-off use of tools.... hmm. Don't like the info popups. Poor semantic linking.

    Poor conversion design.

    Poor use of 404 page.

    Doing up a Joomla! site is one thing, designing it properly is another.

    Don't like some of the terms and conditions at all.

    The Crunch
    You are reselling webworld.ie products/services at very inflated prices with no added value. I'd advise anyone to skip straight to webworld.

    Can I ask that we observe the rules of hosting discussion here and focus solely on the site itself, not the offerings at hand?
