Is there some trick to knifing in Black Ops? I am really struggling with it..... losing about 70% one v one knife off's. It feels like commando is still there for everyone but me

The tactical knife is gone too, so there's no way to get a knifing advantage. Am I just bad at it? :eek:

I feel like that aswell.
I lose most of them aswell.
Interested how others feel.
I have 3 or 4 bars so it shouldn't be a lag issue

i find you really have to line them up before stabbing them,in mw2 you could stab anywhere near them and get the kill

Is there objectives in the zombie mode?
like survive for so many rounds or something?

its alot more difficult to do in BO's I'm finding!! Was well stupid in MW2 the whole knife thing..

Only way to get a Knife advantage is by using ballistic knife I think.. Seems faster to stab with!

That's what I was thinking at first as well. But very often I feel the other guy moves/jumps for me much quicker than I possibly can*. A
lso, on a few killcams I've noticed that the guy didn't even hit me. Like he'd miss to the right and hit a wall, yet I'm dead. That's prob a separate issue though.

*It's probably just peoples reaction time being quicker than me.

I'm finding alot of the final killcams (never really watch killcams in middle of a game) to be questionable to say the least..

Hip-firing seems to be way to accurate and in ADS kills the scope is way off a lot of the time!

Maybe thats just me.....

No, I think you're right... noticed it a fair amount as well. I only watch killcams when I dont know wtf happened, or I feel it was dubious.

The HitBox might be different in this game and if you're both dicing around the shop the hitbox could be anywhere !!!

I'd say that the final killcams are similar to the Theatre Mode. The hit detection on them is slightly off compared to the actual game mechanics.

Nah there's still plenty of copies. Have a look around. It's great. Single player for me so far is superb. Nazi Zombies quite good, only OK. Haven't played online substantially yet but it's getting rave reviews.

what's the story with hip firing sniper rifles? Fired about 100 rounds today in the gun battle wager, some from close range, and couldn't hit a thing, including one guy that didn't even know I was behind him! yet no problem hitting people hip firing other weapons. I'm not sure if I should be suspicious, or it's really just incredible misfortune.

can anyone tell me what exactly you lose when you prestige? im rank 47 will be prestiging soon so i was wondering should i spend all my currency buying emblems or playercards as i do know your xp and currency is wiped when you prestige, but are emblems in the emblem maker and playercards wiped too? i might aswell spend the money on unlocking stuff that doesn't get wiped if you know what i mean

The only thing that is kept is emblems (and I presume playercard layers), and reportedly custom reticules.

Spend everything you can on those two, even if reticules aren't kept, it's not like you wasted money

Does it ever end or is there actually way a to finish it?? I teleport around alot and thats it..

Jammer deactivates all enemy claymores, cameras, minimap etc within range. It's pretty handy for attacking objectives as you know that a poxy ghost claymore won't kill you.

What bugs the **** outta me is the playercards you are meant to unlock every rank of prestige DO NOT WORK for me.....not that I mind too much but after losing everything for doing it the one perk of the thing should work ffs.

I'm still unsure what to make of Zombies. It's difficult in comparison to WaW. In that you could go a good distance further. Guess it needs more play-time. The dogs in round six are fcuking annoying.

If your talking about the flags and the name backgrounds for your card then they unlock everytime you prestige. I read on another thread that you prestiged and this is your first CoD game, was breaking me ****e laughing at your posts. When you prestige for the first time you play up to level 50 again and prestige for a second time, all the way up to prestige level 15, so that effectively makes the game have 750 levels. What sucks though is that most of the cool stuff like face paint unlocks at the later prestige levels, like 11 and 12. Ill never make it that far...

oh man, I fell in love with the Galil last night.

Galil, Red Dot, Suppressor.
Ghost, Warlord, Ninja.

I wouldn't class myself as great COD player at all. I normally finish 2-5th with a few 1sts thrown in every now and again.

Played 4/5 games last night with the above set up. I was owning every game. I felt like it was the best I'd every played and yet I came second in every single one.
Oh, how annoying. I don't know how he did it. One game I had an 11 kill streak at the very start (thats without calling in care package or Attack Helicopter).

Eventually someone took me down, so I called in the helicopter and got a spy plane with the care package :rolleyes:, went on another 8/9 kill streak and called in another attack helicopter.
All this and he still pipped me in the last to win the game.

He was just legging around with an smg and winning every one on one vs everyone...including me. Obviously this guy is better than me at my best, how depressing!

Anyway, point is.... Galil is awesome as a stealth weapon. I had already tried the M16 and the Fal with this class and failed miserably.
