The sound of nearby footsteps is way too low.
I never hear anyone running nearby, i'm constantly getting killed because of it! I have it on 5.1 surround sound and its sh*t.

anyone else have an issue with no servers showing up, it will say 0(7000~) on the top and nothing appears in the lists ?

sometimes ill see 1(7000~) and i can connect that that one server that appears and sometimes it puts out the full list and no issue connecting, except the crappy lag and ridiculous framerate

also seems to totally kill my connection totally at times needing a restart to fix, which makes no sense

i know this isnt an issue with my setup as anything else works fine, have read of other people having same issue, crazy crap this is. Im on upc bth but i doubt upc decided to not like black ops

also why is there no console for just directly conencting to a server you know the ip of or did i missing something ?? as i cant see why you shouldnt be able to.

Go with XBox live. It's well well worth it. It really unlocks much more value in your games, and XBox live is about the best live platform in terms of performance and features like parties and voice chat.

You don't need to go with wireless for it. It's always better to run a cable from your router if it's reasonably close, there should be ethernet ports on the back and a standard cable will plug into the back of the XBox (any version, old or new). Game sell a ten metre one for a tenner that does the job perfectly and is way cheaper than the adaptor.

Go for it, honestly it's well worth the spend and you'll get lots more fun out of your games.

Yep. I've got my X41's which are great in BFBC2 but they're pretty useless in this.

The sound is terrible,I was legging it around earlier and unknown to me had someone chasing after me and shooting,it just sounded like shots in the distance but he was only a few yards behind me,this and lag are my only complaints really for now,enjoying it a lot more than I was

I loved this game so much for a few hours. Now, I'm beginning to see some cracks appear.

The sound is terrible, with my turtle beaches i cant hear footsteps at all.

Lag seems terrible,ill get five hit markers with an m16 and then get killed with one bullet from an smg

Rc car thing is just retarded, getting pretty annoying hearing one being called in every two seconds.

Maps are a little bit too big

The currency thing is o.k. i guess, its nice to buy the things you want for your gun rather than having to do challenges for attachments you'll never use.

I dont really enjoy having to place wagers to do challenges tho, i always liked the barracks system.

I think the whole series is getting a little long in the tooth these days, I got halo reach recently (my first halo game) and i think its far superior.

I'm still gonna spend soooooo much time playing this game tho!

Why only 30secs recording!!!! Have a couple of clips, 32 and 35 seconds where I go on a nice killstreak in Gun Game but no. Has to be 30 seconds only :rolleyes:

Had to go back to good old Counter Strike on the PC. FPS are just better on PC. I tried to pretend I loved COD on the PS3 but its just no where near as good!

does anybody else think that black ops is a let down compared to modern warefare2.
the single player was pretty good but i found that online play was crap.it came across as a mix of battlefield and mw2 and most of the things were copied from mw2.
seriously thinking bout trading this in for assassins creed brother hood when its out.

what do you think about the game?

I haven't gotten the game but but I played it for an hour in my mates house.

I like it. Obviously it has been overhyped and it's not fantastic, but it's better than MW2 in my opinion. I'm liking the guns, more realistic. More recoil and it takes longer to kill someone - Not just the instant kill you got with any assault rifle with stopping power on MW2.

The gameplay is very good, bit disappointed that there's still panic knifing, but it's not as bad as MW2. None of the killstreaks seem overpowered and all in all it looks a balanced game.

The explosives has been seriously dummed down. If you haven't noticed, then you must be half asleep when you play this game. Direct hits with noobtubes and hitmarkers. I'm not really complaining though, less explosions the better, but they've almost nerfed it too much.

The cons? Sniping. Oh. My. God. Sniping is simply horrendous in this game. The hit detection is almost non-existent. More hitmarkers, in fact I got two hitmarkers straight after each other and they were both to the chest. They're going to patch the sniping, they simply have to or else a lot of people will return to MW2 (Some people I know already have)

The graphics aren't great, they seem to be on COD4 level almost. Also, why has ninja, argubly the most overpowered perk in MW2, become basically defunct in this game? You can't hear anyone. It's absolutely useless.

Last and most certainly not least: The connection. Host migrations galore and a fair share of lag. Seem to be thrown in to games with a lot of Yanks.

Overall, I like it and will be buying it this weekend. It has come in for harsh criticism, some of it deserved, some not. A lot of people I know are just too fustrated to enjoy it because of the constant host migration.

Well after giving this game a go online..... it sucks. Its def not the worstMP game but its not as good as MW2 and if your gonna make a sequel thats worse that the predecessor then dont bother at all.

Cleared SP which was ok but the MP isnt a touch on MW2s, that game is flawed in a lot of ways but the good def out weigh the bad, with this it feels like its more 50/50 good / bad. Gonna trade in this weekend and just go back to MW2. Shame cause it could have been good but it looks like Treyarch are still the B team.

The game is unreal, the only fault is the Sound Effects, guns seem really quite and you can't here Choppers and Planes at all, you would have to have really good hearing to hear the enemies footsteps too

if this game had the sound of MW2 it would be unbelievable but sadly the sound is pretty crap

I watched my brother try to play tonight - he had similar issues, but worse. Over 20 minutes he was signed out of PSN 4 times, once this caused the system to hang. Wondering if it was Sony's problem he went back to COD4, during which time he had no PSN issues.

I've also noticed that there was an increment in the version info posted in the top right of the multiplayer screen, but there was no update patch downloaded. Maybe it's something to do with revised game settings, don't know. But things were bad to start with and have got consistently worse each day.

Does anybody else feel like the game spawns enemies onto of you when ever you throw a care package down?

Spyplane in the air not one red dot around you, throw out the care package and 4 dots pop up beside you. Happens the whole time!

Just on the sound part - I bought a grands worth of a cinema system last week - MW2 sounds f**king AMAZING on it - this sounds ridiculous - just thumps - you cant even hear a shot properly when someone is beside you - its bloody awful - really really dissapointing.

Also - after finally getting into games tonight, im not very impressed - in my opinion MW2 is by far a superior game - this will get a good chance to prove itself tho but if I was wondering whether to spend my money on this knowing what I know now - I wouldnt.

no - my ps is just always on and I work till 2 or 3 am so im usually on really late. I did have nearly 30 days playtime on mw2 tho
