Right let me tell you a tale. BTW we played Corofin in football (my fault) in the senior. We got bayten by 2 points.

Here's a tale. I played against people like Michael Meehan and Sean Armstrong. I can honestly say I kept Armstrong scoreless for a whole match.

Meehan is unstoppable (unless he's injured).

Hurling I'm fairly average at sadly.

The closest I got to senior hurling was getting my hurl signed by Colm Bonner in training when I was a small fella. I loved that hurl till Sausage Power broke it off a wall one terrible day. Naturally I had to fight him but Sausage was 13 stone aged ten and his tactic was just to put you in a headlock till you gave up. I hadn't a hope he nearly squeezed teh head off me.

Lads, I know this is a light hearted thread, but I have had to edited a few posts in the last few days to take out some abuse. I know its small and all, but its something we really do not need here and certainly do not want it spilling over into other threads.

Just seen that going by posts, the PW forum is no.3 in the sports section.
    Good going bais! :D

Even bigger than most of those ****e Soccerball megathreads?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,600 ✭✭✭✭CMpunked

Wel... I would see the soccer forom as a little more diverse than most threads. As everyone always thinks their views is more right than everyone elses.

    So I discounted them.
(but considering them, it still puts us 4th. So still not bad ;) )

Lads, any horror fans here? Have you seen that Nightmare on Elm St 2010 remake, is it any good?

I accidentally clicked sport instead of pro wrestling at the top and seen you can see how many replies/threads and just scrolled down.

Very close to the rugby forum too.

Never knew cycling was that popular

Never knew cycling was that popular

    I know!
I had thought football (both soccer and the gaa persuasion) would be top,
then rugby, motorsports (considering it's quite big in the country across all formats), golf and MMA would all be above us.

I guess there's just so much to cycling puts it up there. Like every single part of a bike is interchangeable.
So you can imagine the random "where can I buy a ex-40tt gel double locked racing seat" has knocked up the post count.

Maybe we should play a game of "let's count to 100,000" and overtake them?
    :P

Did anyone else see yer man Alex Reids fight earlier, i dont know jacksh*t about MMA but i kind of enjoyed it, i guess..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,242 ✭✭✭chordtype

Yeah by all accounts it wasn't the disaster it could have been. Actually it was a decent little fight. Didn't do any harm to himself or the sport.

Walter was this seriously your first ever MMA fight?

Yup, popped my MMA cherry, tbh UFC/MMA never particularly appealed to me, it still doesnt, but i'd now be more inclined to casually observe..
