Maki, just out of curiosity (i mean its not a loaded question) was that a usual amount of rounds to be used on the number of people killed?

    Honestly, I've no idea.

At a guess, and its only a guess. I'd say if it was from one man its a lot, from multiple weapons I wouldn't imagine so.

But like I said, its purely a guess.

At another guess I would say if all those nine people were actually attacking IDF soldiers at the very moment they were shot, its remarkable that there wasn't a 'friendly fire' incident!.. And read into that how you like, because I'm only guessing.

The reports said one man killed 6 activists. 3 others were killed by other soldiers. However, 48 other people were also shot.

time to expell the israeli ambassador for blatant lies about our foreign minister at the direction of the israeli government

"Irish Foreign Minister Dr. Michael Martin had earlier reached an agreement with Israel, whereby the Rachel Corrie would proceed to Ashdod where its contents would be checked, unloaded and then shipped to Gaza under observation of representatives of the activists, the UN and the Irish government"

'Rachel Corrie' intercepted off Gaza coast

Mr Martin said he had reached agreement with the Israeli government to allow the vessel dock in the Israeli port of Ashdod.

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2010/0604/mideast.html

Yesterday morning Israeli officials working with their Irish counterparts agreed on a plan under which the ship’s cargo would have been discharged and inspected under the supervision of UN officials and representatives from the Irish Aid division of the Department of Foreign Affairs. The entire cargo would then have been transported to Gaza.

Now the passport incident is a different kettle of fish if you want to kick him out that would be the boot to ...well wear i suppose

    to Dodd:
I really dont care as an Irish citizen that they used Irish passports. Maybe others do?

According to this source 6 are still unaccounted for, probably topped off by the same blood thirsty Israelite and then dumped overboard. All crew cameras were destroyed so they would have no record of this and of course the IDF would only show footage of their own dirty lies.

Could just be pure dumb luck too though. Bad or good depending on viewpoint. Like that old notion that harvey oswald couldnt have made the shots that killed kennedy. Better riflemen than him tried to replicate it and couldnt. He just got lucky. It seems to be emerging that one guy did more or most of the shooting. Maybe because he just happened to be in a better firing position and was just a better shot? It is lucky/dubious that his fellow soldiers didnt get hit. Then again maybe they did and some of the injuries intially blamed on captured IDF weapons were actually friendly fire?

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

28 miles away from Gaza now and still going.

My guess, and I could be wrong - is that they will wait for them to be out of international waters before the board the ship.

Wibbs, its like I've said from the start.

I can only be honest and hazard a guess at what happened.

The media report stated that Staff.Sgt.S took command of the situation when his superiors went down injured so it might be that he had a commanding position.

But sorting out that mess would be a forensics nightmare, angles and proximity of the shots fired etc..

The simple truth of it is that we're very unlikely to find out what really happened from either side. And whatever evidence is realised by the Israeli's or the activists will be dismissed by their opposites.

Of course they have refused. That would defeat their purpose of running the illegal & immoral blockade, now wouldn't it?

    :eek:I cannot believe this!!

Educated by the taxpayer, and now repatriated by the taxpayer!!

Everyone in the country is educated by the taxpayer. What are you on about exactly?
Someone needs to shine a fooking very intense searchlight into this shít fairly rapido.

Why? Because you don't understand it?

    Incredible stuff.
Swanning around on some flyblown cause whilst MY hard earned taxes support the fcuker.

    BEYOND BELIEF

Being in receipt of social welfare does not mean you surrender your passport. There is no longer full employment, it is inevitable some people will be unemployed. I don't think delivery cement and pencils to a 3rd world country under the threat of assassination from Israeli death squads amounts to "swanning around" anywhere. These people have more balls than a lot of the caricature hard men on here.

It's just me but I tend to take eyewitness evidence from hundreds of people that corroborates over the word of a group as utterly discredited as the IDF. The 10-15 dead bodies and the autopsy reports also backs their word up.

Being in receipt of job seekers allowance mean's you must be available and actively seeking employment, and while I don't agree to it because it excludes people from doing charity work etc, this waster has made a nuisance of himself to all & sundry from day one it would seem.

His mother is no different, but then - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

    Bloody sponger.

I'm shining a light on punters who are aboard ships 2000kms from this jurisdiction and are supposedly claiming job seekers allowance.

You don't surrender your passport nor are you prohibited from leaving the state if you're on unemployment benefit.
I support that tax take and I am entitled to question who gets it and how it's administrated.

Those people supported it too I'm sure, they just might be unfortunate enough to have lost their jobs. Like hundreds of thousands in this country.

    autopsy reports mean nothing
any of those shot in the back were also shot in the front - bodies tumble as the fall, someone lying prone or standing sideways could catch a bullet either side

Actually Fiachra's mother said he's never sought employment as he was busy with (and getting arrested for damaging a USAC plane) the protests against the US forces using Shannon as a stop over and the Shell to Sea protests.

She also boasted of being arrested at Shannon too.

They're a burden to the honest tax payer of this country.

If somebody is collecting it while he is away that is illegal, if nobody is, then it lapses. He doesn't receive it any more. He also has the option of notifying them about this. You don't have all the facts so don't slander somebody when you don't have all the facts.

I'm sure there more civilised with better values than a lot people on here. And what part of "no more full employment" cause difficulty for people? Are the tens of thousands of construction workers who have lost their jobs and who cannot get work "bloody spongers" too or is only those whose politics you don't agree with "bloody spongers"? These seems to be the "bleerin' students" mentality rearing it's ugly head again.
