Are we confident enough that the snow falling in Waterford now will not stick and will turn to rain in the next few hours?
I don't think so, it will keep falling as snow as the temp is starting to drop slowly.

Precip just about stopped here again. The radar images appear to be totally unreliable today or the precip is just so light everywhere its causing havok.
Hopefully thats it here so the roads can be cleared tomorrow and I can escape out of Annamoe, I'm actually looking forward to going back to work at this point!
More than enough snow left in the fields and secondary roads for a nice refreshing walk.

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

    any reports from mayo!
In claremorris...scary grey sky but no snow all day. Slight thaw but nothing too serious. Had to let a little stray kitten into the house..she's alseep on the chair. Maybe if everyone goes outside and does a snow dance we might get lucky!

No precipitation here at all on the Navan Road...
And I don't think we got that much last night either...
(I was away, but when I got home this morning the snow didn't look deeper than yesterday at all...)
Thaw is creeping in, snow disappearing from lots of places in the garden now...

To all the people attacking JS in some earlier posts there is no need for that!! he is just making a forcast and does not control the weather... if you dont like what he says or dont agree, do so in a way as to not offend!!

Apart from one minute of light rain its been dry since early morn
    3.7/+0.2C

Being dry helps to keep snow cover :)

Well to be fair, what credentials does he have to shout out such random forecasts ? It's total nonsense. He just popped in, said something and left. Why won't he explain his thoughts behind it or the science that led to that opinion ? Oh I know...because it's total crap.

In castleknock it's windy, cloud coverage is about 90% and there is no precipitation and hasn't been any all day. Slight thaw though :(

6 or 7 snow flakes outside my window, they were caught on a bit of an updraft and I could hear them giggling to each other about there cousins in Ireland teasing half the country,

then they looked straight at me with flaky eyes, smiled and disappeared
