Irish Release date of the original Star Wars?

Hi All, My first post! Can anyone tell me what was the Irish Release date of the original Star Wars? I always assumed it was close to Xmas in 1977. UK was 27th December. I think Ireland was actually before Chrimbo '77. Thanks! (I saw it in Naas, Co.Kildare. Life was never the same after that for a good few years.)

Seems like it was pre-Xmas '77. Perhaps only just.
