    Kilclooney, surely?

Visitng Doon Fort is the last great Irish tourist adventure. No signs, no clear idea of what to offer or pay. The owner just kind of waves his arms and points in the general direction. The oars, last time we did it, were like broom handles.
    The fort is spectacular.

Oh and I have to confess I don't know the name of the actual river in the 3rd one, but just the general area of where it is will do.:)

    Downings area

The top one looks like it might be in Fahan / Lisfannon near Buncrana, the middle one looks like we are looking over at Rosapena / Downings.... and the last one looks like the Finn river at Glenfin, Ballybofey

The first 2 are indeed Downings, just a random house near the peir in the first one and looking across at Rosapena in the second one.

The third one is not the Finn.

Regarding the 3rd one it looks like the local river here in Carrick but I doubt it is though hard to tell when there is a flood.

That river isn't actually in flood. It' a panoramic picture so it looks a bit funny. It's sort of like 2 little waterfalls on it.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 24,016 Mod ✭✭✭✭TICKLE_ME_ELMO

Yeah, in a boat house or something at Glenveigh?

There's a picture of the exact same spot somewhere else in here, just not from inside a window.....I think.

Its taken from inside the Fishermans Cottage at the end of Lough Veagh. When I had it posted a thought ran through my head () that I had posted this image before but it was one taken beside there, as Lobster pointed out, on P23.

Now another quick one for the night owls...:D :D

Well done everyone :D. Photo was taken from Crockfadda, which is close to Sliebh Snacht, on the walk between Glenveagh & Dunlewey a few months back. Crockfadda is the mountain between the back of the Poison Glen and the Churchhill/Doochary road, and that is the road you see in the background.
