Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    What do you work as?

    Dual monitors give me the enviable ability to view a database schema in SQL management studio whilst coding in Visual Studio, as an example. There are plenty more instances where having two apps open side by side is a good thing.

    I see your point I suppose. I'd just print an ERD of the schema if I was using it frequently.. or use a virtual desktop if I needed to just glance at it occassionally.

    Dual monitors are great if you need the room on screen and have the room in RL. I'm stuck on a laptop most of the time though... :-/

    Anyways, here's mine. Desktop is in need of a cleanup from all the work sh*te.

    I see your point. It can have its advantage at times but generally I just have a web browser open on the second monitor.

    Then buy a second monitor, I used to be of the same opinion as you and was converted about a year ago and couldn't go back now.

    Trust me when I say you can't achieve the same thing with a printed ERD. I also find it great for XCode and Interface Builder side by side.
