Nope I follow the free ones, like Huge Taylor on attheracers.com and Pricewise on Racing Post. Not sure paying makes too much sense.

Carl Harris on betfair is good. I don't rate hugh Taylor, he makes himself very hard to follow with so many tips and so many points per tip, you would want to have fairly deep pockets and a lot of patience to follow him. I think pricewise, tom segal in the racing post and online with pricewise extra is a legend, the best tipster out there in my opinion, I am showing great profit in my online account for just backing his tips in the paper and online with pricewise extra each weekend. From pricewise extra with tom segal I can't remember the last time I was not in profit from a weekend. Last Sunday was one of the best yet with a 20/1 winner in the curragh, just for Mary. He's the only reason I'm a member on racingpost.com

Seanohea, head over to the gambling forum for the PW mega thread.

    http://boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=684

Hugh Taylor tips need to be judged by the points he awards to a selection if its 3 or more on an e/w price you can be pretty sure of getting your money back at worst. If he and PW agree on a horse then its a near dead cert in recent weeks.

    6.30 Bangor

Keoghs Tradbar, currently available at 12's. Has been backed in from 16's.

Pat Flynn not sending him over there for the weather :) Erm, I hope not anyway!

Arctic Shadow could be hard to beat in that race. Still 12/1 is e/w territory just a note that 2 horses have been pulled so it pays to 3 places not 4.

I think thats Paul Flynn (Celbridge) not Pat, but I could be wrong. He said in paper a few weeks ago that the next horse he sent to England would win. Now technically this is the next one, but he has about 3/4 other runners this evening. Koh Samui is also being backed (8s-5s) in the 8.30 and its his also. Just so you know.

    Sorry, you are 100% correct!

When did he say that :D

I got a tip for that Koh Samui when Gilligan had it, its a dog of a yok

I think it was a Sunday Indo article about two weeks ago. Himself and a few other Irish trainers (Elliott, Lambe, etc) were cleaning up in Perth and a few of the smaller tracks and it was basically about how tough it was to get a horse into a race in Ireland compared to England/Scotland.

Flynn said something like "I won't give you the name of the horse, but the next one I run in England will win". So make of that what you will :D

Just on opportunities this from Go racing site
Commenting on the figures, Brian Kavanagh, Chief Executive, Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) said:- “Against a challenging economic background, horse racing has been able to maintain its overall level of attendance in the first six months of 2008 and the Tote’s turnover is virtually on a par with last year. Although there is anecdotal evidence that trainers are starting to see a decline in horse numbers, this is not reflected in the figures for the year to date. In the month of June there were 7,320 horses in training compared to 7,176 for the same month last year. Nonetheless, HRI recognises that there is likely to be a downturn in horse numbers as the year progresses”.

Brian Kavanagh continued: “One of the most pleasing aspects of the year has been the significant improvement in the balloting situation, which whilst still problematic, has seen an almost 18% decline in the total number of eliminations at the half year point. However, further progress is still required and HRI has therefore taken the decision to extend its quality control efforts by increasing the minimum qualifying rating under both codes for 2009 – from 45 to 47 for the flat and from 77 to 80 for hurdle races.”

It could be Koh Samui in the 8.30 12s into 7s....make of that what you will. The form figures on the face of it are not encouraging this from RP spotlight
Irish raider; absent since a couple of ordinary runs over hurdles six months ago but interesting if taking to fences and able to reproduce autumn efforts when finishing close-up in big field, soft ground handicap hurdles at Cork and Naas.
