Enjoying it, but there is one major gripe I have

BRET HART IS ONE DOZY MOTHERF*CKER!

On the relive path, you have to defeat Austin to replicate Mania 13. Seems normal enough, but there's a big problem with it. It's damn near impossible to get the chair from under the ring. Austin keeps blocking it, so eventually you have to take the hit and get him to get the chair. More often than not once you've hit him with it. If you end up dropping the chair, the dozy sh*t immediately puts the boston crab on. And with it being a submission match, It's over premature and you don't earn enough points to get the gold medal.

    Very annoying.

IGN rated it 6.5 on both PS3 and Xbox. (Compared to TNA iMPACT!: 6.7 on Xbox and 6.4 on PS3 and Smackdown: 7.9 on Xbox and 7.8 on PS3).

Personally I find it very clunky.

Its pretty cool apart from how the finishers are done, i would have preferred em kept the way they were in smackdown.

The finishers were done similar to the way the Legends Of Wrestling series were done if i remember correctly. It has been several years since I played those though.

What has this got to do with the game exactly?

i actually like the game. finishers are rubbish though. I got it for the PS3. I have currently added a number of legends and am working on a game save if anybody is interested.

    DEmolition
    Vader
    Sid
    Haku
    Virgil
    The mountie
    Texas Tornado
    The Natural Disasters
    The Barbarian

I stopped off in gamestop on my way through town today as i usually do and the had told me that someone was in on saturday and bout LOW and when one of the workers got home he seen that the guy who bought the game had managed to get close to 900G already at that stage.

He was in on monday and traded it in.

Is the achievements really that easy?

Every time you finish a story mode, you get 90G. Yes, it is that easy!

Me too actually. And i've seen the work Dre puts into his CAW's too.

Also for anyone who rented SVR09. You don't even need the game installed on the hard drive to import the roster into Legends, A standard game save is enough. :D

How did he get their music in there?
Also does anyone know how to get warriors alternate attire?

I don't know about the newest ones, i know for the PS2 games, you could remove some of the generic ones and replace it with created mp3s converted back over and reburn the disc, but obviously you would need an altered PS2 for that. And i'm not touching discussion on that particular subject on this forum with a barge pole.

As for Warrior's second attire. I've no clue there, but i'm not fully finished the game yet either.

Im guessing its just a simple idea of burning a music disc onto your hard drive and lifting the songs into it that way?

Still working on my Caws. The game save is for the PS3. I put the music on using USB key .

I am trying to think who to choose next.

i cant choose between Nasty Boys / Bush Wackers / Power and Glory

I am working on Marty Janetty, Nailz, Akeem, Papa Shango and Tito Santana.

HMV are now selling the game for 39.99, a more reasonable price for any of those who are yet to purchase it.
    (like me...)
And i have a 20 quid gift card i lost at christmas, which was miraculously found yesterday :D

So have I, most recently playing LOW with RebelRockChick after spending five minutes destroying her, only to be knocked down with one punch and pinned!
(she got her's in the end afterwards though!)

You will once you get the hang of defending, when you create the session turn created content off, that'll clear out the cheating gits with the created guys maxed up to 99! :D

Feckin hate that, took me a while to figure out why so many people were picking randy orton, and how come he was using the stunner etc as his finisher.

I'm such a mark for nostalgia though, and loved this game. I like the new controls as well, very reminiscent to the Legends of Wrestling series that came out on the previous gen consoles. You will finish it very quickly though. It's the only game i've gotten all 1000 points worth on achievements.

Are the controls not very randomish?

It's one of the things which has been putting me off buying it is that from the demo its very "press y and see what move you get" feel.

    Controls are very basic actually.
A for grapples (hold for strong)
X for strikes (again, hold for strong)
    B runs
    Y for defense

    X+A for finisher (when available)

It's when you get into a grapple, you have to press the button you see on the screen. It takes a few attempts, but once your hand-eye co-ordination adjusts, it's not that difficult.

So how do you reverse or 'counter' those moves?

Rent it and try it out . Or even try the Demo. Its not SVR so dont expect that. I wasnt sure about the chain moves but once you see it working it can look great for reversals .

    Y for the strikes
If you get caught in a strong grapple, the buttons you need to press are on the screen, you have to press it before the hold is properly applied.
