stuck on recovery mode

Hay, last year my battery for my creative zen touch died on me, completly, it still worked, but only when it was plugged in. Tonight have have attempted to try and fix it, by plugging it into the usb via charger as I got a usb charger as well as a mains, and now it is going into recovery mode now, first I reboot it, nothing, then clean up, nothing. The other two options tells me that their is a harddisk problem. I have tried taking it apart, but I got no idea what I need for the bottom. when connected to my pc (before trying formatting) it said nothing was on there.

Could someone please help me out here?

Try http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/ its the offical website, bit quiet there but it usually helps!
There is Support section -it tells you to go to that for technical help, but you can also go to the Mp3 / Portable Music Players too- down below
You should find some help there, make sure you search the forums first!
