If you go to Coisceim Dance studio on Sackville place in Dublin... they're really nice in there, and there's bound to be a dance class to suit you. the artistic director is David Bolger, and he's sound out... if you don't find something you like with them, they'll definitely point you in the right direction. ;)

No problem. I recommend salsa/mambo myself, but then I would. :D

Anyway, there should be plenty there to suit all tastes.

Hi, I am living in Dublin City Centre and am looking to join a broadway type/musical dance group. I am not a very good singer so ideally would just like to find a group who meet regulary to train and maybe take part in a show/musical. I am finding it really difficult to find this so if anyone can help I would really appreciate it. I am in my late 20's. I work full time so would only be available evening and weekends. Thank you.:p

    Hi there,

I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a good beginners - intermediate class for ballroom dancing in and around Dublin city centre.

I've come to the stage now where it is just embarrassing not knowing how to waltz / etc.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any fun mainly fitness dance classes in the dublin area. Also a lot of the classes i have looked are a bit pricey and kind of boring, I would be looking for something cheap enough.

    Many thanks

    Emily

cuban salsa and other latin dances in Dublin and Waterford at http://www.salsaeverybody.com/

The teacher Thomas is a great dance instructor with a very uplifting spirit, groups are quite small and he always pays attention to students on the individual level.

You could check out the KC Dance academy which is along the 46a bus route in Deansgrange (15mins from UCD) they have late night classes on Mon and Wed. I think sometime after 6pm. They're not specific beginners classes as with most ballet schools those classes don't really exist. But the classes are small and you'll be with people your own age.
