Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Rock Band on PS2?

    I was in New York last week and bought the Drum Package for $80. It says on it that Playstation 2 OR 3 software is required. I have a Playstation 2 and will probably buy a PS3 later this year, so I thought I'd buy them and get the software here. GAME tell me that its only out on XBOX 360 now but is coming out on PS3 "sometime" and they don't even know if it is coming out on PS2. Does anyone know anything about this? Surely it has to exist on PS2 if it says it on the box. Anyone know any release dates?

    Possibly August/September for PS2. You're better off getting it for PS3 IMO

    Yes PS3 games are region free.

    Keep the drum kit and get a PS3 , then import RB on it's own. You will have to wait for it to come out over here to get any guitars that will work, but you can use pretty much any USB mic for the singing. The instruments are region free all round, and the PS version of RB is region free so import from the states and you should be good to go.
