51 was ther pass mark, therefore i failed. thats why i'm hoping now the pass mark was lowered because of the memory test now being done this year.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 721 ✭✭✭goodcopbadcop

I see. People have read it as being 40/51 and a fail. So you were 11 marks off a pass last time then. I'm pretty sure 45 is the pass mark this time.

a fella thats works with me got 50 out of 51, he shows me the letter as proof and he got a fail, so he was turned down. how mad is that.

that test was cars were stolen in northern ireland and the make of the car, the reg no's and colour of the car had to be written down, it was only read out once. you were then given a page with the qusetions on it and you had to match them up. pretty hard if you werent concentrating.

(that previous post i had done, was meant to say that the memory test was done last year and not this time round)

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you meant the test was marked out of 51 and you got 40 correct. But actually the pass mark of the test was 51 and it was probably out of 75 or thereabouts I would think.

Phew...had me even more worried than I already am there lol.

if you passed your medical in campaign 13 and you think your in the pool from the last selection, then why did u apply for campaign 14. did you pass the vetting stage in campaign 13

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 35 greengloves

just because you got into the merit pool in campaign 13 doesnt mean you are in,therefore you will many applicant reapplying this year as insurance, there is no harm in it and if you get rejected it means you won't have to wait another year to reapply.

    re: tattoos

I think going on yours lampshade, the main factor would be the size of the tattoo. See here:

No its not true, there have been trainees accepted into C13 with positions in the 700s in the merit pool. Again (the thorny subject) its down to 50:50

Anyone had medicals recently? Mine was fine for one thing my blood pressure. it was up quite a bit!! I put it down to nerves so when I came home I went to the doctor and it was 125/80... perfectly normal. At medical it was 160/80 or something. So if anyone got medical, relax or you will end up with a dodgey blood pressure reading!

    any results goodcopbadcop?????

    Hi Lyndsay

Just wondering if you've heard of anyone at all who has received any results yet? I don't know anybody else (apart from on this board obviously) who has applied this time. I'm hoping if I get to the 2 week stage without any word it's a good sign (next Wednesday) but with the Bank Holiday who knows
How bad must the C13 peeps be feeling though with all the waiting when you consider how hard we're finding it and we're only at the beginning!!! (Hopefully lol).

Consensia say to allow 20 days for return of results, judging by previous posts, failures hear within a week or so, successful candidates hear within 2weeks approx.
