i'd feel a tad self conscious though being the only naked person so you'd have to be wearing no clothes too - i mean it's only fair

every man gets burned at some stage, I learned alot from it, very crucial to the formation of this devastatingly charming personality you've encountered here ;)

however one thing i learned is not to trust women. gets easier longer you know em but i reckon i need at least a week. After that i can usually tell when they are lying

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 361 ✭✭smellybiker

God you must be good if it only takes you a week to realise if someone is lying

i've got that problem at the other end of the trust spectrum - i trust too bloody easy and usually get walked all over from trusting the wrong people

maybe you could teach me a thing or two about being a better judge

can't remember the name of the book, something like "The mouth lies and the body speaks truth" but it explained how to

    1) get inside peoples heads
    2) discover their thought patterns
    3) reveal what they are thinking, especially if they are trying to hide it.

It's fantastic. Helps understand women, suss out friends, even works well in interviews to give off "positive body language"

man, i gotta find that book it, worth it's weight in gold

get me a copy while you're at it, i need it badly!!

does it make you pessimistic about the world tho?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 8,559 ✭✭✭RedXIV

not at all, i have a better understanding of human nature, my social skills have improved, and not only that but it's a huge advantage in the situation of meeting new people.

There's even a chapter on online character analysis, very interesting and usefully applied here :D

i'm intrigued, so what does this book say about me?

well for starters i'd assume you're not as outgoing in real life as you are here....

You're not exactly a risk taker but you'll follow through on things that you're sure won't back fire badly.

hmmmm you don't have a huge amount of respect for men as a whole but that doesn't mean you don't like us.

and i'd say that you don't do the close knit group of friends, you instead glide from group to group.

I could be wrong now but these are initial impressions anyway :D

okay so i'm prob not as outgoing as i am here initially - at least till i get to know someone so that's half right - but in fairness you could say that about alot of people on here!
You're not exactly a risk taker but you'll follow through on things that you're sure won't back fire badly.

I'm not a risk taker per say but i do get ideas into my head and ignore peoples advice and precautions coz i believe its gona work out - but you could call that sheer determination or just stupidity.
hmmmm you don't have a huge amount of respect for men as a whole but that doesn't mean you don't like us.

I have/had huge respect for men - no, i had huge respect for men two years ago but i've failed to find a decent enough guy that respected me as much as guys i knew in the past did - i'm surrounded now more and more by guys who think of woman as objects and mere sex toys. i just need to meet nicer guys - the respect i spose will follow just like i had it before
and i'd say that you don't do the close knit group of friends, you instead glide from group to group.

i have always had two groups of friends - always but i think that's coz people have let me down in the past and so, i don't want the same disappointment again by depending on the one set of people. but yeah i'm a glider so that's true enough

well red, im impressed. either you're the master manipulator or this book is seriously hot?!?!?!?!?

Wish i hadn't mentioned the book now :D But there ya go, give small insights into how people think and what you can discover about others if you simply pay attention, however its ALOT easier face to face.

Also it doubles as a really cool party trick. kinda like cold reading

So that's your party trick - bet it doesn't always receive a gracious audience though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 8,559 ✭✭✭RedXIV

not when all you can point out are someone's bad points....which has happened once. i was asked to go around the room after spending half an hour in it and sum up people. got about 80% of people pretty good. but this one guy annoyed the hell out of me and i had to give up on him.

so in those situations, i pull out my other party piece. Juggling :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 361 ✭✭smellybiker

so you now know a helluva lot about me (and all those other people who will no doubt be reading this tomorrow)

do i have to get the book before i can find out more about you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 8,559 ✭✭✭RedXIV

As i've always stated, ask and ye shall receive. I never have a problem giving out information, so just tell me what ya wanna know?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 361 ✭✭smellybiker

okay we've gotta even up the scores - so just match what you predicted (in want of a better word) about me. i already know how you feel about women so just the other stuff - outgoing as you are here?one group of friends of glider?risk taker?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 8,559 ✭✭✭RedXIV

    lol fair enough.

No i'm actually more refined here. When i'm out and about, i've found a smile as a great way of getting what i want but here you need to back up anything you say with mere words. Outside i'm an out and out messer :D

I've do risks before, some worked, some crashed and burned....if i think it's worth the risk and the rewards are satisfactory, i'll go for it.

I def glide. I'm in too many places usually to remain chained to a single group of friends. Miss it a little bit though. In school my best mate knew me inside out, now no one does... although that makes it very easy to play the mysterious card when talking to girls :D

Anything else or are you quite sick of me yet?

not sick of you at all but jeez it's late, i'm getting a headache reading the screen in the dark
