    Road One in San Diego
    Towing apparently picked it up
They are if I don't have a picture ID I can't pick up the car
but the police confiscated my drivers license
so I'm unable to pick the car up
    Towing = $150 telling
    Unlicensed Driver = $72
    Storage = $32 a day per day
    $102 negligent impound fee
They won't accept my student ID

    these prices a criminal
    and they wont help- me

I sure the SD police department is aware of these price
yet deals them out as punishment

California is awfully large. I doubt they would put all records on line like they do in Wisconsin. But try googling "State of California simple case search".

    -13-2006

I picked the car up from the impound lot today after paying a fee of $396.
My cousin drove it home as my drivers license is confiscated

A bottle of bleach was poured over documents
including a court receipt destroying the signature
    in the passenger well
after I had left the car in the care of the police officers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,138 ✭✭✭takola

    And are you going to?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,028 ✭✭✭Hellm0

big brother let me down by being made and starting a trend in television that has led to such travasties of entertainment as "celebrity love island" and "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here*". Death to the producers, and in the most painful manner possible.

*Exclamation marks intentionally withheld. A sentance like that doesnt desurve to be exclaimed.

well I called the court today

and I have no failure to appear

which means officer Scallon did not tell me the truth

I was imformed the DMV suspended my license
    still trying to determine why

OK apparently the failure was the LA court system
at which I did appear and the charges were dropped

    doc0t number 00718 WJ
    issued 7-11-2005

Febrary 17th in 2006 I was at the court in LA
    the charges were dropped
I'm on the phone and they are checking the files

I was there in the afternoon
I was almost one of the last to be adressed by the judge
who apologized to me as I had already shown the ballif proof of insurance
I was given no records and told the charges were dropped

The LA courts are checking the records and will call me back today

Wow, Matt! That is just rotten! But things do sound hopeful to turn back in your favour. That is a good thing!

Matt, you may want to be a bit more careful about how much personal info you put up on the internet.
Wouldn't want your identity stolen one day when you're back on solid ground.

Not saying I don't trust all my pals here, but people (strangers/vampires) do surf and gleen info. You just never know.

    Hugs,

    L4L

    Well
The LA courts failed to call me back yesterday
I think I was talking to Sandra (but I'm not sure)

I called the LA courts this morning
    and spoke to Adrian
she told me to call back
as she needed to search for the records.

I called back and got a man
He asked the last names of the operators I previously talked to
I told him I was not given any last names
    He told me to call
The optical retrieval office to recover the records
to prove I was in Court 2-11-2005
He did not tell me his name

I called the optical retrieval office
but they refused to help me
and told me to call the main number again.

I'm on hold again calling the main number
It takes around a half hour to get through to an operator each time.

    The latest operator informed me
that my appearance was on record
after the three previous operators told me there was no record
and the real reason for a failure to appear charge
was that I did not pay a $10 dismissal fee.

I was not told by the judge to pay the dismissal fee
I recall him assigning fines clearly to many members before he spoke to me
and I would have remembered if he had told me to pay a fee.
He only informed me hat the charges were dropped

I have to contact JC Collection Services
to pay a fine of near $1000 dollars
    or file for an appeal

    In the mean while,
I am with out my driver’s license stuck in San Diego.
