Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Hypothetical situation. Person A gets broadband installed on the belief that installation is free. Person A is later being invoiced for installation but doesn't want to pay.

    In the meantime:

    Do you think it's better to pay the money and try to recover it later or refuse to pay a cent until the matter is settled?

    If you have proof its free then write to them with copies of the documents. Dont start a conflict without need.

    Keep writing to them and delay delay delay. What is in your contract?
    Was this an offer made to many people could you find 15 other boardsies who would have participated in this offer. Or is it in your contract or a letter.

    A verbal agreement _should_ have a written confirmation. Or in this case I would expect it to have been made by more than one person.

    Paying is to a degree admitting that you owe it.

    Paying puts the pressure on the other foot.
