It's pathetic how many people are posting in this thread just to have their e-penii affirmed. I really dont know why the hell you'd bother if you weren't actually gonna sell your machine.

Seriously though.... Some people may not want to sell straight away... but if someone walked up to you and said 'Hey, here's a grand for the rig' in the morning, you'd have to have some idea how much could the rig make.... and this is where people come.... Demon

Yeah, it's getting quite ridiculous. Right gents, I have a PC here for you, two in fact. I want to sell both to finace one good rig sometime early this year.

On a basic level, the first is a Dell pc with 3.4ghz Hyper threading, 1gb ddr pc4200 ram, 160gig hd, 256mb Ati X800, no monitor as I'd keep the bog standard 17 inch tft for my new one. It's the standard Dell case, dell mobo, and dell psu, so obviously it's not much good for anything but accepting it as it is really. Part of the reason I want a new pc.

The second one is a p3 800mhz, 512 pc-100 ram, 64mb geforce 4, 20gig hd, but it has a 15" tft which is prob worth more then the computer.

How much do you reckon I could get for both these combined? I'm looking to do self build this time round, so between the two of them I figure I should raise enough to build a very nice self built PC. I'm not looking to build an uber beast either, I'm actually happy with my current one really, I'm just annoyed by the limitations of the Dell stuff for future options.

    Hi,

I'm thinking about renewing my laptop and i'd be grateful if you guys could help me estimate my machine's worth. I've read the charter and i know that i have to take it to the for sale forum for the actual sale.

The machine was built on 22/10/2004. I'm away from home at the moment so i can't take any pictures right now. Laptop is in great condition and the battery is as new as i have really only used it away from the mains 4-5 times. Here are the specs.

    Dell Inspiron 8600c
    1Gb DDR 333 Memory
    60GB 7200rpm hard drive
    DVD + CDRW combo 24x
    Intel Pentium M, 1.7Ghz, dothan core, 2MB L2
    Windows Xp Home, licenced.
    Geforce 5200go with 64Mb memory
BATTERY, PRIMARY, 11.1V, 9C, LITHIUM, SONY
    56K modem
    100Mb Network
    Intel 2200BG Wireless Lan
    15.4 inch TFT widescreen 1680* 1050, perfect

Sorry if i left anything out, just let me know. Thanks.

It's not a bad pc really. Another 512 ram and something like a second hand 9800 pro and you have a decent enough gaming pc. I'd sell it to him for about 350 - the potential is there :D

"never overclocked" LOL, thats because its a dell and you cant overclock with dells hehehe

because of the 17" tft id say u could get about 600-700 for this rig, at most, but in reality id say less
