By now I am assuming you've all recieved your letters regarding the talks. They were very clever to include terms such as Nevermores and Reunion, otherwise they wouldn't have a chance.
So, my little love turtles, I'll go if others are going...

    What?

CTYI are organising an official reunion for all nevermores where they give us an oppurtunity(sp?) to listen to lectures about crime in ireland

I think it's just a way for them to make money really, may as well go though as it's just a fiver. They sent a letter to the parents aswell looking for donations

I'd say they have to pay the speakers so they're probably barely covering their costs - €5 isn't much. Anyone who went in 2004 or 2005 can go. DCU, December 3rd, 1-5pm.

How odd. I didn't receive a letter about this.

May go anyway, just because I have a pathetic attachment to DCU.

Guest speakers include RTE Crime Correspondent Paul Reynolds who wrote the book 'Sex in the City' regarding prostitution in Dublin and also King Scum regarding the heroin trade in Ireland.
I'll prolly go if others decide to.

Never heard about it. It may happen. If I will it to be so... but orchestral duties may prove a hindrance.

Haven't got a letter, but may go.

I'd love to go but I have drama that day and so won't make it unless by some miraculous occurence they cancel it for that day. It looks very fun though.

I'll be there for sure. Please don't leave me sitting alone in the Larkin.

I'm going. Not that i expect that to affect anyone's descision. They should allow more people to go, rather then limit it to '04/'05

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 652 ✭✭✭Jim_Are_Great

I will be there. unless I die. Or the world ends.

    *awaits flocking crowds*

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,440 ✭✭✭✭Piste

How will they tell if you've been there in 04/05?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 511 ✭✭✭LiamD

I reckon they'd probably just check the roll call.

  • Registered Users Posts: 588 ✭✭✭JenLorigan

They probably only sent letters to those people. I are going \o/

05' as in THIS 05'? You can imagine my head slowmotion swiveling towards the letterbox. If I manage to overcome my still patheticly dibilitating fear of anyone with a position of authority in DCU I'll show up anyway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,440 ✭✭✭✭Piste

Actually I'm sure they can live wihtout me being at drama for one week....I may actually be there :)

I see. Overcoming this perfectly rational fear of Dublin, are you? They're likely to be pretty full with just '04/'05, so they couldn't really invite more. Remember, staff are invited too. Except a certain brother of mine, who has "no interest in the subject", apparently.
Note: Actually, he was invited, he's just not going.
And the letter shows that they are a little ignorant of our doings:
"We have decided to organise ... a sort of reunion." I.e.: Rejoice children! We can bring you together! Still, I suppose there's no reason for them to know about our reunions.

I didn't get a letter! This is discrimination against the '03 nevermores, well I'm going to say it is anyway even though someone will probably point out that they had to draw the line somewhere *sigh*
