    5-1 = 4 * 8 = 32 - 1 = 31

    I saw that Ecksor ,I missed a set of brackets so sorry for the second post which i was compiling when you posted the clarification .

    Whats confused me this time was 50+50 - 8 - 1 = 191 or am I missing something again .

    that does indeed equal 191.

    The 191 solution seems dodgy, so here's a different version:

    ((50+7) * 50 / (8+7)) + 1 = 191

    (By the way, you can't have two 50's in a proper Countdown puzzle: the choice is any six numbers from [ 25, 50, 75, 100, 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, ..., 9, 9, 10, 10 ].

    Now for Ecksor's current target:
    8 6 6 7 3 25 target: 705
    (6*6*7 + 8 - 25) * 3 = 705

    Here's a single, new target:

    5, 2, 4, 9, 5, 75 target => 777
