I fear that Sunday could be a bad day out in London.

Surprised by Cunha, I thought it was only precaution for the Everton game. Annoying, to be without him and Sesko at the same time we are very light up front. Also increases the chance of us keeping Amad at 10, which means we've nothing at wingback.

Would like to see Mount start and keep Amad right. Also means Zirkzee has to start again, as we have no other options.

    Such a terrible squad. sigh.

Palace to make it 4 wins from their last 5 against us. A pity the match isn't the early Saturday kick off to get it over and done with rather than having to wait until Sunday for the disappointment to hit.

    ………………Lemmens
    ……Mazraoui..De Ligt..Shaw
    Amad…Casemiro…Bruno…Dalot
    …………Mbeumo……Mount
    …………………Zirkzee

I reckon that is the team for Sunday. Dorgu was rubbish and will be dropped. Dalot is the only alternative.
Yoro had a poor game, so I reckon Mazraoui comes in for him.
Doesn't matter how Casemiro or Bruno played, they start.
Zirkzee is similar, no other option than to start him. Well there are options that involve moving Bruno and starting Urgarte or Mainoo, and I would start Ugarte tbh, but I don't see it happening and unless Bruno plays 10 (with Mbeuno essentially the forward) I can't see how Zirkzee doesn't start.

Was talk of a bunch of youth players training with the first team this week, but it won't ammount to anything important imo. Lacey on the bench again with zero minutes I'd guess.

Is Malacia an option at LWB? He can't be any worse than Dalot or Dorgu. Martinez needs to get some minutes as well on Sunday.

We say that until we see them play and reminds us how bad they were. Seen same in here people calling for zirksee to start the other night...

IMO no. Malacia isn't an option for professional football imo. I'm shocked and disappointed he made the bench the other day to be honest, a youth player would have been better to include.

I don't fancy our potential starting XI very much either.

But Palace played a European game away from home last night and they don't have a big squad - with few options to rotate. So that's got to have some impact.

United should absolutely be capable of getting something from this game. There needs to be a reaction to Monday night.

Personally I think he deserves a chance to get a few minutes to put himself in the shop window if rumours of his exemplary attitude and work rate are true

This and 100% the players were a disgrace the last night passive and no fight from the start, the staff can take some blame for not being able to motivate them for sure but every single player should be giving 100% from the start the next day and if they don't take them off and put on someone who will, the managers talks about the basics the things players need to do every game well if they aren't make an example of them.

We have one game a week the absolute minimum these players need to give workrate and fight

Mazraoui was also awful the last night and sure wing back isn't his go to but his passing was also atrocious not sure what is going on with him this season I know he has his injury but his cameos have been really poor.

I think mainoo deserves his chance at this stage also given the injuries

Could do with Marco Reus to fill a gap in midfield.

Marco Reus and Leon Britton, the dream midfield that never was

I'd rather see Leon than Malacia!

Saw the managers interview pre match and he said we were missing a player like Amad on the other side who was right footed, especially in a game like Monday and I do understand him wanting a more attacking wing back but I don't understand the opposite foot thing.

Surely that just makes the pitch all that more narrow

He meant more as in a squad profile we need both attacking and defensive wing backs I think. I just don't know why the attacking ones need to be opposite legged

He might've been more suited to a midfield two than Bruno though!

His system involves inverted wingbacks (why I'm not quite so sure), I'm beginning to lose patience and faith in his system and I've tried to remain steadfast!

The whole point of the "system" is to win games. We are clearly not doing that. This season we needed to see the "training ground" improvements. It's clear as day that's not happening. It's just a matter of time when he is sacked. He's getting time as Ineos are pinning their hopes on him. A mistake from their part. Unfortunately there are no good managers available to take over.

Looks like Slot, a proven PL winning manger, might be available soon. 😉
