Thanks, would you say we are better off waiting for someone to come up in Robswall?(Had a couple of viewings and I kind of regret we haven't placed an offer on one)

We actually viewed show house , plans and finish are perfect, I'm just conscious it's 130+ properties... Good luck getting a place in school... Also the fact it's pretty much driving lifestyle, there is no convenience stores walking distance. Not to mention best houses are gone and you are buying pretty much cat in the box.

Not that there are much choice. There is one bungalow available in seamont rise , but it's really odd. It's on the hill and the back garden is much much lower level with massive steps down. Feels really odd tbh for that money you want everything to be perfect.

And another 200 houses for the Teagasc site just up the road. All entering/exiting onto the already congested Malahide Road.

Absolute no new infrastruture has been put in around the area. A complete failure by Darragh O'Brien, not only as the previous housing minister, but as a TD for the area.

FYI, in Jun, Fingal Co Co also granted planning for the "new" school for Brookfield but it was subsequently appealed 6 days later. The appeal seems to center on the lack of infrastructure around the area to the school - footpaths etc. Unforunrately they are 100% correct and it needs to be addresses BEFORE the school is built. Decision now expected Oct 2025.

Great news. We need more housing in an desired place to live.

We need the infrastructure to go with the new developments, not sprawling estates where everyone has to drive. There are several estates in the area where the footpaths just stop at the entrance to the estate.

    Needs better planning.

What infrastructure would you like? Malahide is popular. If you want a quiet place move to the country.

roads? cycle paths? footpaths? better public transport? imagine living in kinsealy woods -you cannot even walk to Portmarnock station.

kinsealy lane, the road is broken up, a footpath doesn't exist on half the road. Kids are walking to school on the road.

    etc.

    Who said anything about quiet?
