    I'm in Romania, heard nothing yet, but no doubt it's in the post.

    I was under the impression that Google couldn't legally do anything about this, as we're all in the EU, and the legality issues surrounding that

    Tried Nord and VPN Unlimited - both giving me this error when I try to sign up. Any ideas? Used the link in the email…

    I used TunnelBear VPN on my phone, connected to Romania and then renewed through the Youtube app paying with Revolut. Used a random Romanian address from an address generator.

    I’ve tried a couple of VPNs but always get a family renewal offer of €33.99 (iOS app) irrespective of the country I’m connecting through

    With PIA vpn, in the app it always has the Irish price and through a browser it says 'We couldn't verify your country'.

    Going to try some other countries later but not looking good so far!

    I thought the golden rule was not to use the app but to sign up using a browser on a computer, that way they only know your location via your IP which you change using a VPN.

    For me it's the opposite. I use NordVPN and no matter the country the website says we can't verify your country, however with the same VPN on the app I get all the way to the payment stage, although now I'm getting the "you need a payment method from this country" error, so I guess I'll sign up with Romania closer to my cut off!

    Yeah I’ve tried Nord and Tunnel Bear but no joy. App only shows me sign up options in Euros. Web browser on laptop and phone say they can’t determine country.

    I used apple way, working fine so far ( fingers crossed) . My friend who doesn't have Apple device want to do the same. Can I create another account for him on same device for Turkey or even Indian one ? Did anyone try this option to have more than one or two accounts on same device?

    Don't want to lose mine 🫣

    ok, so i got apple id set up, but it wants me to set up a "payment method" like a credit card - and I don't seem to be able to add a gift card instead? Anyone?

    Go to the app store. Click on the circle on the top right (your profile abbreviated name, i.e. JS for John Smith), near the middle of the pop up, you should see option to "redeem gift card or code", either enter manually or by camera..

    ignore, figured it, wasn't reading correctly and didn't notice that you put "none" for payment method. Had to generate a Turkey address alright but that was fine.

    now going to get a gift card.

    All done. Unfortunately I set up a new gmail for the youtube not realising i could have used the same current youtube I have using Poland. I tried to go into the polish account on the iphone having logged out of the turkish one, to try and change the polish to turkey - but it didn't like that - the app seemed to simultaneously see my polis account but not let me "renew" as Turkey as I had already set up on that device for Turkey with another email.

    anyway, I'm hoping now I can just use the new account on my TV etc and ignore the polish account which will cease in a couple of weeks.

    for those that got the email from Poland, did ye accept the price increase which you had to have done before a particular date in May, possibly just before your renewal date, if you didn’t, then that would explain the cancellation. I accepted the increase and my payment was taken this weekend as normal except in stead of €11 it was a little over €14 which was charged this month.

    I forgot to accept the poland increase and got cancelled today. I have an old iPhone lying in the drawer so might give the turkey method a try before I sign back up

    Think this was the issue for me. I had read the email but don't remember taking any action.

    Anyway, got it going again with Poland. Incognito browser, go to YouTube mobile site with your VPN on then worked ok this time.

    Got the email 4 days ago saying it was cancelled in Poland and was able to sign back up again using Poland so I'll see what happens

    Just signed up via the iTunes turkey route and all looks good. Has been going ten years now cause the payment method is through apple rather than a credit/debit card so hopefully I get a while out of it

    Never had an issue here with Premium before. Argentina, Peru, Poland etc but VPN just not working now, an any browser.

    Paying full whack now for family in Ireland.

    Have an Android device so Apple Turkey not an option. Tried about 20 countries, eventually worked with surfshark in Kazakhstan.
