Yeh the permit was annoying, I mod it out of the game, and also add the extra sub etc.

2 goals for Rashford today, hopefully he bangs in a few more before the end of the season to push up his value.

I'm sure the think pieces have already been written for tomorrow mornings headlines after his "incredible" performances over the past 10 days against, checks notes, Latvia, Albania and Preston North End. What a Superstar and surely he's once again worth every penny of £80m

Villa will more than likely cough up the 40 mil now.

I do wonder, and hope, United have a sell on clause negotiated in the Rashford deal.

Would Villa pay him his current wage though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,933 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

Almost no club will, so that's a reality everyone will have to accept.

Villa got burned on Coutinho after a successful loan spell, so they’ll be wary enough. Goals though may mean there’ll be interest elsewhere which could drive the price up. But nobody will pay his current wages, so MU will have to use part of the transfer fee to make up the difference.

Will need to score some goals against someone better than PNE surely? He's just come off his longest barren spell I think though now hadn't he so hopefully he can kick on a bit and cod someone into paying for him, and paying him what his people will find an acceptable wage.

He had gone 11 games without a goal I believe.

Should have really tried to get Antony a PL loan to see if it was just United being a basket case with him too as he looks very good in Spain.

He’s working hard, and he’s been playing well.

When you’ve got that mentality, the goals come with the good the performances.

Goals were never the issue with Rashford, it was his attitude, he was coasting with us. He was in a funk, and id say he got a massive shock when he was frozen out, and that’s obviously the jolt he needed.

Right now, he needs to be practical, if he carries on like the way Jessie Lingard did after his loan to WHU, I think his career is over, but if he’s practical, and doesn’t just chase the money, he might be able to engineer a decent move for himself, and if continues to work hard and mange his expectations, he might just have a successful end to his career,

Amorim: "Luke is not ready yet, we are starting some drills with the team. Kobbie is almost ready, Jonny is recovering. Maguire is ready + Yoro. [Heaven] is not so serious, he is not yet ready to play but he will return this season for sure."

Can't really seeing him enjoying it as much in Ipswich. Think he has spoken about the non footballing side of the move and said how much he likes it over there. It's a factor. I would be just glad to see us get a half decent fee for him from Betis.

From last night's Seville derby… proper freedom, in a good way this time.

The PL simply doesn't suit some players, the likes of Forlan and Aspas spring to mind. Hopefully Antony continues his good form and a few teams are interested.

Interesting that Chido is back with the U18 squad for the FA Youth Cup game tonight, but Amass is staying with the senior side - given Chido has had way more involvement in the senior side (and wasn't in the squad for the Arsenal game last round).

Assuming Dorgu starts left, Dalot right - if Mazraoui isn't starting in the back three it feels odd Amass is being kept up.

I guess it might be too soon to start Maguire or Yoro, Heaven, Evans and Martinez out - so Mazraoui, MDL and Lindelof back 3? Would make the Amass retention make sense.

Yeah I watched a big chunk of it. He was trying and failing with some things like at United where he would be ridiculed but then had the confidence and freedom to try them again and they would come off. At United he was just standing out on the wing and trying a short pass.

Betis wouldn't be the Ipswich of Spain, they play in front of 60k people in Seville and are in Europe a lot of the time. Would probably be more akin to Spurs.

Ipswich was just a joke, was comparing the cities and the way of life in both countries. I think he seems a lot more suited to Spain both on and off the the field. I'm not sure a PL loan would have been the right move.

There was a game he came on at HT and missed a sitter - was it the southampton game? Remember he came on looking really agressive, was instigating attacks well - and then as soon as he missed the sitter you could see he wanted the ground to swallow him up.

Yip, it was the Southampton game and we were 1 nil down at the time. Seemed impossible to miss it.

Up stepped Amad with his late hattrick.

Just watching the u18 game here it's fairly clear obi is a talent but he is nowhere near ready to be starting for the first team. His link up play and awareness of those around him wouldn't be the best. A loan move in summer might do him world of good. He is definitly a bit too good for youth football.

Looks like it's heading to penalties

    Terrible penalties.

Miraculous recovery from the Villa keeper once it went to pens.

i was watching that training video…..the rondos are absolutely rubbish and very frustrating to watch, so lackadaisical….maybe it's me…maybe it's meant to be that way, more of a chat than anything especially constructive
