Brothers bar is grim yeh. I've not had a drink there in 20 years. Or since the little jugs of perry whenever that was.

WH Bar other side of the field is solid. Centre of the fest, rarely gets maniacly busy. Evenings in particular are a doddle.

    Now….. Will that guy please SHUT… THE… F*CK… UP about the 1975?

A few things I'd go to, but not too good overall. Big festivals are struggling to find decent headliners these day's.

Yeah that's not hectic. Load of things I would go to but not great compared to other things. Deftones are a random one!

Tis ok. A few little gems.

    1975 though. Yuck.

Yeah, almost feels like just another festival. You know, a great lineup for a normal, mortal festival but gone are the days where I'm clutching my brow in disbelief at the array of riches on offer.

Denegrating this line up in 2025 is madness. Its packed to the gills with quality. Prefer 1975 to Coldplay.

Tbh thats been the case for a good few years now.

Im the problem in a lot of way. Have seen Macca twice now at Glasto, The Who similar, Neiler before etc.

Lots and lots there though for some 18 year old going to their first Glasto.

number of festivals have exploded in last twenty years so it’s now one of many and does punch above its weight

My night-time schedule usually ends up with DJs/electronic stuff that is all yet to be announced, so lots more on top of the below:

    Would actively try and see:

    Maribou State
    Four Tet
    Doechii
    Deftones
    TV On The Radio
    Weezer
    Wolf Alice
    Overmono
    Kneecap
    Girl In Red
    St Vincent
    Turnstile

Might check out depending on clashes/arsed-ness:

    Loyle Carner
    Busta Rhymes
    BadBadNotGood
    CMAT
    Floating Points
    Franz Ferdinand
    Osees
    Supergrass
    Neil Young
    Amyl and the Sniffers
    Bob Vylan
    Caribou
    Japanese Breakfast
    Leftfield
    Lucy Dacus
    Prodigy
    The Libertines
    Future Islands
    Sprints
    The Brian Jonestown MAssacre

    Probably the aging process.
I'm old enough to have seen people transition from huge Glasto fans to sceptics/detractors on numerous occasions.
I adopted the attitude long ago, 'tis what it is' find what you enjoy, imbibe drug of choice and enjoy. Shite, shower and shave and get up and do it all again on the Saturday, ditto Sunday.

It may not be thrilling but it is solid. I could make a weekend out of that and there's still loads more to be announced.

    I'm a Rock n Roll Amputation

Theres a couple "thrilling" line ups a decade.

This aint one of them, but on the other hand it is prolly the best festival lineup on the planet in '25.

All fair enough lads. Finding the shock and awe as a 54 year old is getting tougher.

I can see a dozen per day i'd enjoy. Couple there are unmissible. Very envious I don't have ticket.

Plenty there for me too with loads more to come. Will spend the next few days checking out the acts I'm not familiar with. John Fogerty could be very special on the Pyramid in a kind of Saturday Legends slot.

I'm not going, and while it is not 2009 levels of amazing, there is plenty there I'd be happy with. Glastonbury remains the most stacked and diverse festival lineup of the year.

2009 not going to be repeated anytime soon.

Very happy with that, 37 acts for me and loads more to be announced. Plenty for the kids, the oldies and those in between. The idea that they're somehow skimping on acts by not properly paying them, as suggested by one poster, is patently absurd. Are Olivia Rodrigo, CharliXCX & The 1975 not pretty enormous global acts.

Already I've got Neil Young, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Anonhi & the Johnsons, Leftfield, English Teacher, Sprints, Beth Gibbons, Burning Spear, Goat, The Selecter, Black Uhuru, The Prodigy, Nick Lowe, Billy Bragg, Osees, John Fogerty, Rod Stewart (supposedly with the other two surviving Faces), Amyl & the Sniffers, English Teacher, CMAT, Franz Ferdinand, Supergrass, Father John Misty, TV on the Radio, Gary Numan, Cymande, Maccabees, Weezer, Ezra Collective, Scissor Sisters, Vieux Farka Touré, Kneecap, Caribou, St. Vincent, Libertines, Chic, etc. Many I've seen before, some not but this is a very varied and excellent first announcement for me. Acoustic, Leftfield, Avalon and others will add a lot more plus some surprise guests. The weather holds and this'll be a goodie.

Looking forward to.the BBC coverage, Friday night be lovely with Biffy tearing it up.

Casual beers for Deftones will be lovely, let alone Uncle Neil and John Fogarty in there.

I reckon there are a good dozen acts there that you'd pay to see in Dublin this year, with the same number to follow. The Pyramid yields little for discerning music fans and the posters are always skewed towards that. The fun is to be found at West Holts, Park, Woodsies, Acoustic, etc. For me no better lineup elsewhere this year.

I'll get ya there someday man.

For me that’s a much better first poster than we got for the last 2 years. There’s loads there I’d go and see, about 15 names by my count and normally most of the stuff I want to see is on the posters from the smaller areas. Time to book flights is suppose!

Yeah. Man, I spent so much time at The Pyramid that year: Bjorn Again (Funny 'cos I hate ABBA), The Specials, Neil Young. Remember being in the pit for Spinal Tap. Big roar before they came in as these two guys came in dressed as druids wielding 18' Sone'enges above their heads. They went to the back of the pit, put them down and stood on them as they were covered stools. Genius. Springsteen banged out song after song after song. Tom Jones, Madness, Nick Cave (Remember him saying at the time - Michael Jackson des that morning - "A great legend in the entertainment industry died today. Here's to you, Farah Fosset". Lady Gaga on The Other "Oh, she's the one with that song…"

As for this year, not a headliner year for me. Great. There are some strong other acts there alright.

And a shout out for Blurs epic headline slot on the Sunday. One of my favourite Pyramid stage memories
