Australia going OK after a shaky start. 105/2. Going at about 5 an over..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,970 ✭✭✭MFPM

No heroics from Inglis today, Australia now 160/4...Still scoring at about 5 an over, Smith going well, Maxwell to come, they'll need a decent score given their bowling options..

All change now, Smith made a fine innings but now out for 73, Maxwell lasts no time out for 7, 205/6...India on top now.

Hard to see India losing from here. 152/3. 19 overs left, 107 to win, 7 wickets in hand.

Australia's 265 was probably a par score on this pitch but their bowling is the weakest I've ever seen from them at an ICC event and so they probably needed 300+ to have a chance.

India cruising to victory it as it stands.

India won at a canter really, Australia needed more runs, they were always going to struggle with their bowling attack.

NZ flying here, 167/1 22 overs remaining...they're are on for a porentially very big score. SA semi final jinx to hit again? Ravindra 9 away from a century.

Hard to see SA getting these runs. 363 to win..32/1..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,516 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Both sides neck and neck on the score comparisons so the game is a bit in the balance somewhat, but still an lot of work for South Africa to do.

typing ..” NZ could really do with another wicket here” and as i press ‘w’.. Santner gets Bavuma..😎

Falling apart for SA, Santner playing a stormer. SA 167/4, 196 needed off 21.2 - it's doable but the loss of wickets is killing them.

Markham out for 31, that should be that. Too much to do for SA - 11 an over needed now.

This has turned into a bit of a hammering for SA, Miller has put a bit of a gloss on it with his late hitting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,970 ✭✭✭MFPM

Some hitting by Millar, hits two of the last ball to get a deserved 67 ball century. Ngidi faced just two balls, Millar managed the strike well.

Big victory for NZ, India favourites for the final be great to see NZ win though.

Bittersweet for Miller. Has been around a long time and it would be nice to see the likes of him and Rabada win something for South Africa.

Game was always safe so I don't think it soured New Zealand's day too much. Emphatic, textbook one day performance otherwise. Hopefully NZ learned something from the group game and cope with the Indian spinners better.

Ive a feeling India will prevail but hopefully NZ can do something. Comprehensive enough victory enjoyed by India over NZ in the group stages though…NZ were bowled out for just 205. This final will be in the same ground….

ODI cricket is brilliant, so much better then that T20…

good start by Rachin R but now India pushing back with 3 wickets … both Rachin R and Kane Williamson gone within a couple of overs

    77 for 3 off 13 overs (RR 6)

Not looking good for NZ, Williamson and Ravindra out early.

NZ 176 for 5 in 41 overs, Mitchell on 46 and Bracewell on 6

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 774 ✭✭✭Debub

India looks to be in a good position but batting second is tougher, so will be interesting

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 774 ✭✭✭Debub

India 65-0 in 10 overs, Half century for Rohit Sharma

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,970 ✭✭✭MFPM

Looking like India will win handy enough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,516 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Every India game has been pretty much the same. Restricting the opposition to a mediocre score and winning with a bit to spare. All a bit dull.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 774 ✭✭✭Debub

unreal catch by Glen Phillips - again, he is just something else…

    India 106 for 1 after 19 overs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 774 ✭✭✭Debub

… and as I type - Kohli gone first ball 106 for 2

Is that going to be a big deal?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,970 ✭✭✭MFPM

    Two Quick wickets, Kohli gone..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,703 ✭✭✭Gillespy

Bracewell is such very handy cricketer. 50 batting and a wicket now first ball. Another spectacular catch by Glenn Phillips. Unbelievable what he manages to pull off. Whatever happened to him in that England test match when he couldn't catch anything.
