    Rob Owen beats mvg

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,985 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Fair play Owen winning that. Mvg only has himself to blame with those missed doubles.

WOC v the asp in last 16 this evening

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,985 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

I'd say O'Connor has a chance if he's on board 2. Asp will probably want main stage and the evening crowd behind him

How are ye watching the other boards? I'm on "other channels" on the sky dish stuck on the main board.

Cheers, haven't either so stuck with the main board. The main board to me is like lads playing in a carpark or something, atmosphere was dire this morning. The whole tournament which should be one of the top 2-3 is kind of rushed through and not well done i think. Put all the seeds in the 1st round and bump up the prize money too. It's gone a bit flat already :-(

You are missing the best of the tournament with the multi board element. Id rarely watch the main stage until Sat evening

Littler pusher all the way by Ratajski but gets the win 10-8

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,793 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Van veen beats heta 10-9 he was nearly 80% on the doubles. Heta was 90% on the doubles

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,793 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

WOC 6-4 down at break. Was 2-0 up then asp got 3 100+ checkouts in a row

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,793 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Great updates as always Kev. Just a formatting tip for the future on this monstrously bad new software.
If you hit Shift Enter instead of Enter between lines then you can avoid the multi-spaces, makes everything more readable. example below of your earlier post.

    Main Stage
Michael Smith v Dimitri Van den Bergh
    Krzysztof Ratajski v Luke Littler
    Ryan Joyce v Luke Humphries
    Josh Rock v Rob Cross

    Stage Two
    Martin Schindler v Jonny Clayton
    Rob Owen v James Wade
Damon Heta v Gian van Veen
    Nathan Aspinall v William O'Connor

    **********
I do think the main stage suffers from the unwritten rule that Littler, Humphries and MVG have to be on it regardless of opposition. Previous iterations of this rule were Taylor, RVB & Adrian Lewis or MVG, Anderson & Wright - the players change but there always seems to be a golden 3 or 4.
The most enjoyable session of the week continues to be Friday afternoon imo.

Don't like Wade but fairplay he pulled that out of the hat. Humphries ran off fairly quickly.
