I think your bonè fide's on this thread are questionable.

Martbids is missing a lot of the functionality that lsl had, subject sale & purchases, no play back been a few

LSL now have live price per kg on display for live bidding a great addition for the people bidding online

TBH if you cannot do the calculations yourself you are at nothing. If you ate buying and either reselling or finishing you are a trader. As a trader you should have all the figures you need from what you sell

Agree I was actually making a dig at our factory and large private feedlot buyers as they buy large numbers online so rather than having to use a calculator it's now being done automatically for them just makes life easier for them as for me I buy 99% of my animals in person at mart rings since I started farming have always purchased every animal per kilo and will always have my price per kg worked out in advance of buying any type of animals before I go to any mart once an animal stands on the weigh bridge I multiply their real weight by my price per kg so I have my limit in my head ever before the details appear on the mart board or the auctioneer looks for an opening bid, I don't trust some marts for accuracy of weight as have seen too many times weights on the mart board not matching the steady weight on the scale and usually the weight is higher than what was on the scale that's why I buy in person

MartBids by far the most popular

Lsl had bad sound issues too and was ni better than Marteye the marts were saying here

All marts here have ditched lsl

Marteye is rubbish. It like comparing a VW Beatle to a modern VW Golf.

No Cathelogue to preview what is selling that day, neither can you watch videos of sales free afterwards on the day of the sale.

I pay 50/ year for LSL premium and I can watch sales videos for previous sales. I say that there is a few marts starting to think about reverting back to LSL.

Personally we have stopped buying in Ennis and the rest of the Clare marts as it takes too much work with Marteye

It does the job well for us and not trying to rob us yet like LSL. Greedy feckers, I wouldn't pay them a cent

€50 shouldn’t break the bank considering the service offered. Bit if you only trade a couple of head a year then I can understand.

If you only trade a couple head a year a fiver a month for 2-3 months solves the issue. Even if only buyi 5 cattle a year you could make it back on one animal. Attending a mart costs money. 15-20 euro in disease and half a day gone.

I say some ofvtge marts that changed over are realising there mistake. Marteye cannot develop unless it gets funds. To upgrade it offering will costs a couple million. LSL came to market as a complete product.

A couple of parts only saw the cost to them. Recently sold a few finished through the mart fees were 30+/ head. It just puts LSL premiums fees into perspective. If that was all I sold normally I need only pay the 5 euro monthly fee

I don't think it take much to upgrade marteye it is only code a good software engineer would do a lot in a week, I work with lads that could fix or improve it in a few hours. They must have software engineers working for them as it is or they wouldn't have being able to bring it out at all. Ballyjamesduff said there is an big rev upgrade due this year on it. That said I find martbids the best of the 3 of them

Agree on MartBids. Maybe it’s because it’s what I’m most used to as it’s what most of the marts I use are on but I find it by far the best of the 3 of them.
