    Note: For those familiar with the game/show, the following sequence takes place in Jackson with characters from the first game used. The exact plot is not followed so as to not spoil any of you who may not have watched/played The Last of Us Part 1 before…

    Welcome to Jackson, a wonderful place where you can grow old. But keeping this place safe is not an easy task.

    There are dangers outside the walls, and potentially within if you are not careful.

    We have a Firefly, desperate to kidnap the one immune person on the entire globe so a cure for the dreaded cordyceps epidemic can be created.

    And of course, we have the Infected – those who have already contracted the deadly cordyceps virus. Though few in number initially, the Infected here have gained a form of sentience and can look and act normal during the day… while planning to add to their numbers each night. The Infected will convert or kill a player each night and the converted will join the horde…

     

    Of course, within Jackson itself there are citizens who can make a difference and indeed have done much, much worse before…

     

    Good Characters:

    Joel Miller: Town Leader

    Joel is the appointed leader of Jackson and as such designates the daily and nightly tasks for the settlement.

    Each night he will have to choose three players to send out into the wilderness the next day to scavenge for supplies, and maybe a little something for themselves..

    Should Joel be killed or infected, another will take his place – though they do not know it, yet. Joel may also have some other, special abilities that are for his own information only, unless of course he wants to share that information with the rest of you.

    EllieTown Vigilante

    Only 14 years of age, Ellie is already a crack shot with a rifle and as such can take aim once per day (munch to Yeet). Ellie’s immunity to the cordyceps infection means she cannot be converted. She should also be very careful about revealing her identity…

    Tess – Town Infected Scanner

    Tess has procured a device that allows her to determine the infected from the non-infected and can use this once each night.

    Bill – Town Trapper

    Bill has become a dab hand at developing various traps to keep the infected at bay. Each night he can trap an individual and it will be up to them to convince Bill they are not infected before the next yeet – or the trap will become very deadly indeed…

    There are other roles present within the game that may be able to provide assistance to the Jackson settlement, but they shall remain secret… for now.

    Baddies:

    Infected – Cordyceps infected will be able to kill or convert a player each night. They can also communicate with other, lesser cordyceps and may be trying to spring surprises for the scavengers.

    Marlene: Leader of the Fireflies. Marlene can win as part of the village should all infected be eliminated but her primary goal is to kidnap Ellie and return her to the Firefly base in the hopes of producing a cure. She will be searching for Ellie each night hoping to find her. Should Marlene be successful, the game will still continue between infected and Jackson settlers.

     

    Nobody is immune from infection with the exception of Ellie – anyone can be converted – any roles that are converted will lose their previous abilities.

     

    Win Conditions:

    Infected: Convert or kill until parity is gained with the Jackson settlers.

    Jackson settlers: Kill all infected.

    Marlene: Successfully kidnap Ellie OR Kill All Infected.

     

    Game Rules:


    1)
    Once you are killed do not post in the thread again. DEAD PLAYERS DO NOT THANK LIVING PLAYERS POSTS. PM Necro or Trigger and they will provide you access to the deadroom where you can discuss the game away from the prying eyes of those still alive.

    2) Don’t cheat, it’s a game that relies heavily on the players having integrity. No PMing other players in the game, and no chat about the game outside of this game thread. If you have any concerns about the game mechanics or the integrity of other players contact the mods who will make a decision. Do not discuss any of this in game or elsewhere. NO EDITING OF POSTS ALLOWED.

    3) Please all try to reasonably contribute to the game thread and always remember to get a vote in (where it is possible for you to do so) as a minimum. There is a 5 post per day minimum limit. If someone misses 2 votes or fails to make the minimum posting requirements on more than one occasion they will be substituted where possible or modkilled.

    4) No posting of any PM's from the game mod or referring to the content of them without prior permission.

    5) Game starts with a pre turn, followed by an announcement at 10am Monday morning and the yeet/lynch will be at 9pm. After 9pm Monday will be considered night 1. Role reveals will take place on thread after each death aka auto-priest.

    6) Do not share your vote form password to anyone else. All votes for the lynch have to be made by yourself. Voting will be done via Google forms with the link provided in the OP, the dedicated lynch link thread in the Werewolf Forum and your role PMs. In the event of a tied lynch, the lynch will be decided by first vote cast.

    7) Policy on Abuse: Boards has a no-abuse rule in place that is in effect in this forum as well. By all means, call people on dodgy behaviour, point out if they are being silly or behaving strangely, be aggressive in your approach; but DO NOT abuse another player. If you feel another player has stepped over a line, the first step is to ask them to stop; if they do not, please PM a forum mod (Trigger) or use the report button on the post in question. Forum mods will investigate and action any issues at an appropriate time, keeping the game mods informed of any actions as needed.

    8) Have fun, make memes, take the piss and try to enjoy the game.

    10AM ANNOUNMENT DETAILS:

    AN ATTACK OCCURRED ON JACKSON LAST NIGHT – Someone previously on the side of good has been infected….

    As a result of last night’s security breach and attack, Joel will now also select three players for security duty at the nightly yeet – who cannot be the same players as below. They will guard the walls from any nasties who may attempt to inflict harm on the settlement.

    Alongside this, the following players have been chosen for scavenging duty today…

    Players, see below for the rules regarding scavenging..

    Scavengers Roles during the day - The scavengers will be given a number of locations per day to choose from, they will need to select one. They will forage and gather supplies for Jackson to ensure that supplies do not dwindle... and may even find a few personal, useful items for themselves. Locations will either be within a short distance from Jackson and they will be able to return home safely for the next day. However there are larger, more lucrative (and risky) locations that will require scavengers to remain in the wilderness for longer.

    The scavengers, although they are able to communicate with the village via the game thread will be barred from voting - and also immune from being yeeted that night. They will not return until the following day – or possibly longer, should they choose to travel further from the settlement. While they are outside the settlement they can be converted, or killed. They will also be unable to vote or be voted for whilst out scavenging.

    Items that players earn from scavenging can be passed to other players by PMing the game mods, if they so wish or kept for their own personal use. If they are currently out scavenging they can only pass it to one of their fellow scavengers.

    Beware of the wilderness - it is not without its dangers. Packs of bandits roam the countryside killing and robbing anyone they come across. And of course there are infected… everywhere.

    The players sent into the wild cannot be the same chosen on consecutive nights, nor can they be selected from anyone currently scavenging.

    The security detail cannot be the same chosen on consecutive days, nor can they be selected from anyone currently scavenging.

    IMPORTANT - Jackson is now under LOCKDOWN.

    Only those outside the camp (the six selected and any scavengers travelling to/from a location) are available for the kills or converts… unless….

    Should Joel select an infected for either detail then they will be able to infiltrate the camp and kill or convert who they choose.
