My only regret was being on the opposite side to where Warren Ellis was - he seemed to have his own show going, but I couldn't really see him.

Which side facing the stage was that

    Heading in shortly

I was there last night, was lucky enough to be given one of the best seats in the house, bang slap in front of the stage. Warren Ellis was indeed a show all by himself - I couldn't take my eyes off him!

Never saw Nick Cave before, I only knew the one song - but my god, what a show!!! That's up there with some of the best gigs I was ever at, and that's some achievement for music I'd never even heard before!!

The percussion section was absolutely unreal - kettle drums are my favourite instrument bar none, and to hear them mixed up in all that was amazing!!

First time seeing BCNR Mark 2. Fantastic musicians but I'm guessing the person who left was the one who knew how to write tunes for the average punter. I'll remember the bassline from track 3… that's about it. Enjoyed it all the same.

I've seen 3/5 this year at the point so.

    Close as we'll get.

That was my 4th or 5th time seeing them live over the last 20 years. Without a doubt Nick Cave is getting better with age, the band were amazing.

I thought the drummer was class, Colin Greenwood on bass, big Jim on percussion and all of them made the gig a special one.

“I need you”, “bright horses”, Nick sang them like it was the last time he would ever sing a song, real emotion and he is just incredible. And he has a connection with the crowd that no one else has.

Hopefully he will be back here in a few years for another tour, he is 67, not many more tours left. He is a true artist, no one like him.

Strangely quiet. Where are the reviews?

Saw them tonight. Was never really a huge Nick Cave fan, but I thought it was an excellent concert. Some epic songs. Great singer and a great band. Sound was great too, middle front ish. He called out a few people for using their phones which was spot on. Said it sucked the life out of him (I'm paraphrasing him). I did manage to sneak a shot or two. 😁 I'm a fan now.

How full was it last night?

    Seating looked fairly packed.

Fair bit of room on the sides in the standing section.

    Some night!

The energy from Jubilee Street, White Elephant, and Tupelo was electric. It came at me like an attack on the senses.

Loved it all. And I have a special place for Long Dark Night.

What got me was the amount of humour. I was expecting an emotional rollercoaster but I listened on with a big smile on my face.

Special mention to the drummer. Absolutely driving the beats.

Nick seemed to be looking out for Warren. " Are you eating a banana" So funny.

Hard to believe NC is 67..

Hard to believe WE is 59.

Hopefully I get to see them again. Something special.

It wasn't packed at all. I was surprised it was so empty....no stupid phones either...great gig!

    =

I was there as well, some show, what a frontman, they did lose me in periods of the very long slower songs but all in all it was incredible, standing was not full at all which was really nice, i did see a lot of people who looked really bored though, the set was long and rambling in parts but id watch him hoovering the house tbh, some charisma

    Wonderful gig.

    But...

Despite the band playing the hell of out Weeping Song it'll just never hit the same for me without Blixa's vocals.

He literally could slap me if I looked bored I was that close. He asked one lady was it the babysitter distracting her on her phone. And I thought he was going to take someone else's phone. That was pretty much the end of the phones standing near the front anyway.

I only knew a couple of his songs and listenened to the set list from the previous night a couple of times yesterday. He has some really deep and emotional songs, that really go to a different plane live. I was surprised he was so good. Pure, natural, no bullshit performance from the soul.

Fantastic gig the almost 3 hours flew by! Nick dived into the crowd where I was standing which I wasn't expecting for a a man of his age

I attended night 2. The only other time I seen Nick Cave was in Shepards Bush Empire in London in 1994. Not sure why it’s taken me so long to see him again.

Nick Cave just announced a show in Brighton next summer, any rumours of him coming back here?
