That's an awful hit Herring just took.

    Hope he's ok.

Ulster's lineout is a shambles. Lost three of their own throws in a row.

And the fourth is crooked. What a mess.

This is a genuine game of tennis. Ulster have no set piece at all so have you run everything.

Ulster have lost 9 lineouts yet are winning 14-0.

    Mad Ted.

Not really sure how we are winning 21-5 ?!

We actually look fairly poor at times. Racing just trying to be a little bit worse

Le Garrec is taking the piss with those behind the back passes.

That's his second 20+ metre pass tonight.

We played well, but I was surprised at how poor Racing were.

Had a similar reaction when Leinster played them last year. Surprised how poor they were at times. Less than sum of their parts at moment.

Was Baloucoune impeded on Racing’s first try?

    Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,
(I am large, I contain multitudes.)

Siya's waking up to find Matty Rea PJs under the tree I hear.

Fair play to Ulster. It was a needed showing, can they move on from here now I guess is the question. All this does is stem the tide of the issues we have. It doesn't reverse the flow.

Also I'm going to first game at home in about 10 years so it'd be nice to have a win! Where's best to park these days?

I usually park on one of the residential streets off the Cregagh, not too far to walk from there and easy to get out of.

keep in mind there are bus and rail strikes next week so parking will be a lot more scarce.

the translink strikes and being the last weekend before Christmas will have an affect on traffic.

I usually park on Ravenhill road. Never had a problem getting a space. Always park facing back towards the city for a quick exit when leaving.

Ulster put in a nice performance v Racing. Except the line out. Hume was absolutely phenomenal. He's playing very well. Ewers is a good addition. Big physical lad.

A win, but million miles from convincing. Papers over cracks. Gonna be a long season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,114 ✭✭✭Paul Smeenus

I don't think that papers over any cracks. We scraped a win; take the four points and move on. We were mince, we got away with it.

Doe anyone know the score of Munster Development Vs Ulster Development?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,114 ✭✭✭Paul Smeenus

    40 - 7 to Ulster. On website

First time I’ve been to three games in a row so I’m beyond proud we’ve pulled off two wins.

season is long and there’s plenty of time for Ulster to let me down, but until then..

    merry Christmas

Anyone know how the development game went?

Report on the Ulster site said a very comfortable 40-7 win for Ulster.

I'm happy, just because I thought we'd probably lose, so we'll take the win.

Ulster started well and then from then it became a dogfight. Connacht are a good side, and if we played them 10 times on neutral territory I don't think there'd be a lot between the sides. That's just where we are at the minute.

Player wise I'm not convinced about Flannery unfortunately. He has some nice touches but I think there is a bit of a gap between Burns and him, particularly in game control, but still I'm keen to see him get minutes to see if he develops.

Timoney seems to be finding a bit of form which is good news. Also that was Addison's best performance of the season. If he stays fit and keeps up that trajectory he could be a big player in the second half of the season.
