Armagh kick out is killing them. Monaghan getting theirs away easily every time.

This lot still won't have a proper score up after extra time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,157 ✭✭✭robbiezero

Says it all when 35 year old Conor McManus on as a sub in the 2nd half is the best forward on the field.

    Dreadful stuff.

Fair shoulder, should be a hop ball.

Conor Lane doesn’t know what he’s at.

That black card was a bad call imo

How is that not a free?

If this shoulder goes against Monaghan they've had some tough decisions against then

Looks like Conor Lane will be helping Armagh over the line.

    Another mess of a ref.

    Edit: Oops

FT Armagh 0-12 Monaghan 0-12. Extra time to be played. Conor Lane the centre of attention with some odd decisions

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,132 ✭✭✭Barlett

Armagh too cautious there at the end but still good opportunity to make the extra man count now

I have accepted a long time ago that there are some teams who are more defensive based keeping the score down, like soccer. Once you accept that the game becomes easier to watch. As each break/chance has massive increased importance.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

McGeeney has no business on the pitch arguing with opposition players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,893 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

What an as5e made of the finish by Lane.

2 calls to make at the end and he made neither (Campbell seemed to decide on the black card call) , and almost caused a row with his dithering.

Fair play Monaghan, I thought the game last week would cost them, and it might yet, but they look stronger if anything. Geezer had no business bowonfpn the pitch at the end there, should be sent to the stand, and if Armagh lose this one he'll have little business being in charge of that team either.

McManus breaking with the ball, gets cleaned out- ref blows for foul n then blows for full time - useless

Great decision by Lane. McGeeney should have ben red carded.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,738 ✭✭✭✭namloc1980

How can a black card carry over into extra time but a red carded player can be replaced. That's bonkers.

No gain for Armagh with extra man, thanks to some typically woeful attacking.

Rory Grugan is usually their playmaker on chief. I think he has had a poor day. Been on plenty of ball in good positions for very little return.

Thought that last free for Monaghan could have been a black too (more so than the one he gave anyway) pretty much rugby tackled him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,738 ✭✭✭✭namloc1980

    This is atrocious stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,893 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

    Now, THAT'S a black card....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,157 ✭✭✭robbiezero

If ever both teams deserved to exit a championship.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,414 ✭✭✭testtech05

Again surely Mackin after he gave the ball off changed his line and took out Lavelle?

It's a terrible game really but Monaghan wides have killed them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,323 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

I'm enjoying this a test of patience, resilience and taking the chances when they come now.

Who would the best keeper be in pens though?

Monaghan have hit 10 wides I think, in the context of the game that is massive.
