PCP/H is so endemic over there too, often with no money down. Cars and trucks are advertised with the monthly more prominent than the RRP.
    It's a completely different market.

Look at the lease deals for the first Ioniq.

    That's insane value

    What can we expect here?

    Is it coming here?
Nope it is not coming here. At least not in the first instance.

I wonder how difficult would be to flip sides. Maybe a 3d printed dash :D

I checked prices in different countries. Not to many but I found their home country

"Starting March 20, Dacia opens online the pre-orders for the "Comfort Plus" version of its first electric model. It will be available at an unbeatable price of 18,100 Euro (VAT included).
Checked today they preorders filled up. And this is the expensive model

At that price I'd be tempted to just get a LHD one and live with it. The car is small and visibility looks good, so I wouldn't be overly worried about blind spots.

Any extra cost in insurance is easily offset by the initial cost of the car.

And you'll need a toll tag to get the toll discount so you don't need to worry about toll booths

took a thought to look at Dacia electric car range, to see if there's really a cheap EV out there, found this about their one model.

"With its 26.8 kWh battery, Dacia Spring allows you to enjoy a range of up to 230 km* in mixed WLTP cycle* and 305 km* in WLTP urban cycle."

Nuevo Dacia Spring - Autonomía, batería y carga

Hardly believable? surely more like 130/140km range..?

Yeah EV database has it between 130-190km of combined driving

I'd say it depends considerably on how the car is used. It's primarily designed as an urban commuter car, so low speeds and traffic are a typical environment

That's generally good for consumption with less drag. Although it can go both ways in winter when you've the heater on a lot

IIRC the first generation was mostly used by car sharing services in cities

Having said that, it'd probably be a good second car for most Irish households. We did fine with the Leaf24 for years and it was really just intercity trips that weren't practical

Bit of a moot point however, there's no RHD version planned
