To be accurate the man was not shot dead by the dog byut by the culpably negligent and irresposible eejit who left the gun in a dangerous state in such a vulnerable place.
But hey! The dog cannot answer back OR, which is more to the point, be penalised, etc for the death
A true scapegoat -scapedog - situation ... and a cop out. And the person who is responsible for a death gets off free.
