Thanks. My Nord VPN is working on Argentina (prices in ARS) but when I go to Turkey, then YouTube premium prices displayed in sterling so it mustn't be working

I think the free version of Windscribe has turkey server available on it, well it used to a while back. I have the pro version now so can’t check what’s available on the free but Windscribe definitely works.

    Soooooooo......

My AIB visa expired this month and I was trying to change the payment details to new card - same number just new expiry and CVV, previously paying family membership in Indian Rupees. After fukking around for the last couple of hours I managed to switch to Turkish Lira. I noticed there was a seperate payment profile within google pay for the indian payment so I closed that in settings and when i tried to setup yt premium through incognito turkish vpn I noticed that a new payment profile had been crerated as in attached pic.

    Google Pay.PNG

I tried to enter payment detials on youtube site but was rejected so I added revolut virtual card to payment methods under the turkish payment profile including a fake turkish address. When I went back to youtube website the payment method was populated with the revolut card details already as the default payment method and i just had to authorise through revolut app. Sorted

Nord eventually worked but the premium family account was actually cheaper from Argentina then Turkey. So went with that, all signed up.

Had to cancel my Revolut card and just can't get the new one to update. Used numerous VPNs etc but no matter what I keep getting the same error OR-CCSEH-21. Gutted.

Had that issue so I got my son to try my account on his phone and it worked

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,668 ✭✭✭✭namloc1980

It eventually worked after about an hour of messing around. 👍

    Got it working yesterday.

    -> downloaded windscribe vpn (free)

    -> connected to Turkey

-> incognito mode -> launched youtube

-> signed up using a Hotmail account (it not work when I tried signing up with a gmail account).

-> 17 Liras per month (92 euro cents).

Thx guys. Now to dive into Netflix

would be interesting to see if the payment goes fine after the trial ends. Might add a backup card as well

Tried all the things mentioned in this thread but still getting the 'OR-CCSEH-21' error when trying to pay from India or Argentina.

Hopefully someone can figure out a new means. Else looks like Google's won the war. Was good while it lasted.

try Turkey. I was able to set it up 2 days back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 139 ✭✭KnicksInSix

Any tips on how you got it to work? Still won't accept my updated card. Ready to tear my hair out. VPN to India etc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,668 ✭✭✭✭namloc1980

Windscribe VPN to Turkey is the only one that worked for me. Nordvpn, Surfshark etc all failed.

This was probably the easiest workaround I’ve done, not sure where or how people are struggling with it, just use Windscribe, vpn to Argentina and sign up to the family plan. I used my normal revolut card, no need for new google accounts or changing locations

you must have got in before some change was made. Just tried this again but no joy

Can’t see what they could have done to be honest

Likewise, I'm not sure what has changed. I updated card recently and went on holidays to Argentina and no issue. A friend signed up for YT premium only a few days ago and worked first time for Argentina with Revoult card.

Tip: Windscribe VPN sometimes connects to Turkey, but moves your location to Czech Republic. You need to disconnect and reconnect and ensure that the location is indeed Turkey.

    Use something like:

    https://www.iplocation.net/

I'm seeing the same - won't take my new Revolut card even though VPN to India

For whatever it's worth, I set up my Turkey account using the Hide My Ass VPN (HMA). It went through fine on the first attempt.

Your mileage may vary of course, and I'm not going messing with mine to see if it still works!

India is causing awful problems lately with new Credit Card Checks and VPN issues etc. I couldn't get anything to work with India so went to Argentina. Took maybe 2 minutes to swap.

    As previously posted:

Couldn't get payment to work so just moved to Argentina sub, 2 minute job.

    • Cancelled current Indian sub
    • Click 'Renew' new sub (with Argentina VPN on)
    • Paid in Ars179 (€1.50)
    • Entered random Argentina address for billing
    • Sub confirmed
    • Premium reactivated with same family members so no need to re-add.

What do I do here please ?

    VPN already connected to Argentina

Should I use desktop app instead ?

    Screenshot_20220819-211328.png

EDIT: Worked fine from desktop browser. Fire up VPN before browser.

    Muchos gracias amigos

First payment today on a Revolut virtual card to YT Argentina of ARS119 shows up as $119 which is €0.88. Used TunnelBear VPN and an address in Argentina with postcode. I tried initially on a mobile but Google stopped that, as above, but it was fine on the desktop.

I got a notification today on the iOS app that you may see ads as your premium services might not work in this country. Hmm

    Hi,

As there's 32 pages I haven't scanned through, but if someone could answer this, I'd appreciate it:

    • Do people in Boards set up family plans (€17.99/month), same as a thread here for Spotify? If so I'd be interested if there's any on the go.
    • If not, what's the least expensive way to get ad-free viewing please?

    Thanks,

    Pa.

No just sign up your own family group in Argentina for less than €2 a month

Got an email today to say my payment had failed. I forgot to change to my new Revolut card. I added the details of my new card and I got thios message "the card you have selected is issued outside India. We offer the following currency payment options - Razorpay - €1.74. I'm on my phone. Should I switch to laptop and use an Indian VPN to see if that would work?
