Wanted Urgently - SRAM 11s x1 Rear Mech

I just tried to fit a new SRAM GX Rear Mech to a bike I'm building up to take on holidays next week! It seems to be totally incompatible with the road frame! I guess I need an Apex, Rival or Force mech instead.

Anyone have one to sell or know a bike shop in Dublin area that has one in stock?

    Cheers, Paul

The Bike Rack over in deansgrange have a load of SRAM listings on their site, worth giving them a shout. WheelWorx and Base2Race (VeloMotion) are also listed on the SRAM site as dealers so try them too

am curious as to how it can be incompatible with the frame? is the hanger an issue?

I just took a Claris 8-speed mech off it and it was fine. The SRAM is positioned too far in, can't reach the outer smaller cogs. And yes I opened the Limit screw! Furthermore I cabled it up and the pull ratio is all wrong, each click of the Apex 1 shifter only moves it about 80% of the inter cog gap!

GX is x-actuaction, Rival is exact actuation. Cable pull is different

Cheers. Wish I'd known that a week ago. Should've used the "there's no such thing as a stupid question" thread!
