    Thanks

I asked in Paddy Power for the last major and they told me they werent doing it and it wasnt on their website, so took it that they werent. Their odds arent on Oddschecker either. Ladbrokes doing it on selected players, but not all players.

Boyles are doing it I found out for every player, so just going to go with them this time around :)

A lot of Irish in it this year especially if you include the northerners ;)

McIlroy, Lowry, Power, Harrington, Carey, Mullarney, Clarke

Dont know if I want to do Clarke though lol

    €15 e/w singles on

    Rory 15/2 14 places

    Rahm 12/1 12 places

    Schauffle 14/1 11 place

    Morikawa 25/1 11 places.

Also a treble of Tiger, Bryson and Keegan Bradley to miss the cut that pays out just under 10/1

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,734 ✭✭✭Motivator

Tiger woods will miss the cut, price has shortened since yesterday morning but still even money and is a knocking bet. I just can’t see how he makes it around 36 holes in championship golf let alone shoots a score good enough to make the cut.

Paul Casey is another one who I’m after having a good cut off at 6/4.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,286 ✭✭✭✭Collie D

Might have a crack at that Woods bet myself.

Is there no official app this year? Nothing showing on App Store or Open website...or I'm completely missing it.

    Schauffle 12/1 e/w

    Fleetwood 25/1 e/w

    Connors 80/1 e/w

You can throw in Dechambeau too. Hasn’t been playing well and now the news this morning that Bridgestone have dropped him. He’ll still be using his Bridgestone ball but the key here is Bryson has said in the past that when he tries too hard and tries to force things that he doesn’t play his best. Add in what Harrington said about the balls off the tee running an extra 60 or 70 yards and running into trouble. I don’t think his short game is up to much and certainly not for this kind of test either. I can see him having a poor couple of days.

Gentleman, thanks. I’m on Apple but thanks for confirming there is one at least. Oddly enough came straight up for me when I searched again.

A me issue rather than a tech one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,952 ✭✭✭Degag

Ummm, but hasn't he done just that twice this year?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,734 ✭✭✭Motivator

Yes, on two courses where the cut both times was over par. He’s a combined +25 for those 7 rounds and with the predicted scores this week in the Open he will need to do play well, not grind out pars like he had been doing to make the weekend in the Masters and PGA. Granted the course is short this week and conditions will favour low scoring, but the ground is also rock hard. Not something that is going to help his legs.

I also saw he’s walked/played something like 60 holes this week already, he’s half crippled as it is and after two rounds in a cart last week in Adare, where he still wasn’t moving freely when he did walk, I just can’t see him putting two rounds together that will be good enough to see him through to the weekend.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,952 ✭✭✭Degag

You could well be right but i'd be slow to write him off from making the cut too easily. I'd guess he wouldn't have walked the 60 holes if he thought it'd impede him significantly in the tournament itself.

Tiger be well up for this imo. Short course so will come down to short game and putting and course knowledge..

    Two e/ws:

    Connors at 80s.

    Tringale at 100s.

The latter is out with Bryson and Daly early tomorrow morning, hope they don't drag him down to their current level.

Some of the players interviewed over the course of the week said they expect crazy low scores. You have to go back to 1946 for a score worse than -4 to win the open at St Andrews.

  • Registered Users Posts: 716 ✭✭✭Konny Rool

Simpson going very well - is three under, with a 2 shot lead after seven holes. A few on 1 under, including Tringale - after the first

  • Registered Users Posts: 716 ✭✭✭Konny Rool

Mon Tommy - Fleetwood teeing off now 😊 Saw him interviewed earlier in week - seems like a sound chap; was happy to answer the kids' questions.. he's got a fan in me anyhow, and have a few ew quid on him 🙂

Seamus Power - one of the "few Paddies out early" according to McGinley, also on one under after the first.

    hope it's a great comp - gluck all :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 716 ✭✭✭Konny Rool

Fitzpatrick out to 22s (on BF Sportsbook anyway) - was a lot shorter yesterday @ ~16s. Don't think he's even teed off yet. Maybe he lost a club 😃

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,579 ✭✭✭✭Mantis Toboggan

Rahm also at 22's could look fantastic this evening.
