Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

French Booze Cruise

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any advice on doing a booze cruise to France. We're going to Cherbourg at the end of May to buy wine for our wedding in November and were thinking about buying some nice boxed wine (to save costs) but will it still taste good 5-6 months later?

Any properly packaged wine will last for at least a year before any noticeable deterioration.

Keep it in a proper location, and it'll be fine.
Make sure you get to taste what you are buying though. Not all suppliers let you taste bibs, and may have a bottle of the same wine, but it will be different.
