For around €500 I would definitely be looking to get an automatic watch, there are loads of great options within that price range.

For me, I would be looking at Steinhart. You would be doing very well to get a watch with better specs than what they offer at each price point.

Seiko's are where most of us started! Steinharts are a good call too, lack some brand recognition to the non watch enthusiasts but for value for money they are hard bet.

Hammiton Field watch would be in budget too. If your near Kildare village they do them in Hour Passion.

Or blowing the budget Stowa Ikarus flieger for €740.

Second hand Stowa would be my choice. Should be just inside budget
