That really is an impressive cast! Like.. for a TV series! Must be a mini series

Created by Aaron Cooley and executive produced by Susanne Bier, who will also directed the series, the anthology drama promises to chronicle the “personal and political lives of three unique, enigmatic women and their families, tracing their journeys to Washington, dipping into their pasts and following them beyond the White House into their greatest moments.”

Aaaaahhh, an anthology makes more sense. A bunch of separate stories kinda sounds right given who the characters all are.

    It’s getting terrible early reviews.

1: Good intro. Three stories in three different times being moved along from what I can tell.

They are keeping it working for now and I'm not losing track of anything.

So far the show feels like a combination of character performances and a story of feelings with the music leaning into it.

I think Michelle Pfeiffer and Gillian Anderson feel like leads but Viola Davis feels more of a supporting role to O. T. Fagbenle as Barack Obama.

Slightly surprised, if this is meant to cover notable/empowered First Ladies, that they didn't make the choice to include Edith Wilson: wife of Woodrow and basically ran the Presidency during Woodrow's stroke in 1919 til the second term was up.

Edith Wilson and others in the President's inner circle (including his physician and a few close friends) hid the true extent of the president's illness and disability from the American public.[37][38][39] Edith also took over a number of routine duties and details of the Executive branch of the government from the onset of Wilson's illness until he left office almost a year and a half later. From October 1919 to the end of Wilson's term on March 4, 1921, Edith, acting in the role of First Lady and shadow steward, decided who and which communications and matters of state were important enough to bring to the bedridden president.
