Ire v wales match tread ! 14.15 Feb fifth

The Wales backline is still very dangerous. We should be on top in the forwards but I've too many memories of fantastic walks defensive performances to take it for granted.

In the end I think we'll have too much for them but it'll be within a converted try to make the last few minutes nerve wracking.

Should be a comfortable win in the end, I expect Wales to come flying out and try to use Adams in attack very early before he's blown away by Aki Conan and VdF running at him.

Miserable morning in Dublin and forecast for game time is even worse, that's a pity

The Welsh squad is fairly decimated. If Ireland cant beat them today - particularly in mind of their recent form - then they can kiss any hopes of winning the tournament goodbye.

I anticipate a fierce and sometimes brutal contest, but I believe Ireland will be a class above the Taffs and win a shade cosily.

Noticed that. I don't think I've ever once seen Wales as high as 16/1 to win a 6 (or 5) Nations before. Obviously the bookies are fully aware of the numerous absentees of first choice players in the Welsh squad. They've no chance whatsoever of winning the competition as things stand.
