Is this Antigen test acceptable to fly back into Ireland?

I'm guessing that a Dr's certificate will be looked for as you received one with a "professional" antigen test which is fit to fly test (or is it?) - so I imagine if you have a test done that has an accompanying Dr's cert then that's OK? I'd like to know too as there is very little proper guidance around this.

I'm fairly sure rocking up at the gate with a Lidl test in your hand won't be acceptable :-D

Maybe someone on this thread knows the answer to this - and perhaps it will very country to country - is the general rule to isolate until you test negative, or does it have to be a solid 10 days? Have managed to avoid it till now and don't know the ins and outs.

For example, the HSE says nothing about getting another test or testing negative, just to isolate for 10 days. People who are vaccinated are known to clear the virus pretty quickly, i.e. you could test negative again 5 days later for example. But the HSE seems to have a blanket 10 days isolation. If it happens that you test positive abroad, I'm wondering are you to isolate for 10 days or until you're certified negative with an official test.

Is UK outside of these rules?

If you get one in ireland and return within 72 hrs you can use that coming back

In Germany at least there are pop up antigen test shops everywhere so getting a test is super easy.

Best strategy if possible is get a PCR done in Dublin before you leave, board the flight knowing thats negative and present it on the return within 72 hours so a day trip, 1 nighter is possible

If you test positive they will be on the phone to you quite quickly. Airlines require you to declare you have not had COVID or COVID related symptoms in the last 14 days. You could get into serious legal mess if someone on the flight gets COVID...

If you get tested on the 14th unlikely you will have results until mid morning of the 15th, my last private PCR was taken 1835, results 0850 next day.
