It might be worth seeing if Fox News report on Rupert's words (advising Don to look to the future) to his stockholders, assuming he meant it in relation to how the U.S economy and the world economy is doing under Joe Biden's administration.

So today (for a short period of time) Kamala Harris will become the first woman president of the USA, Biden will be under anaesthetic while undergoing a routine colonoscopy.

Anyone want to guess the contents of TFG's rage tweet (from the desk of 45 post) later on when he hears this amazing news?

It's incredible, and I've said it before, I've never heard the word muttered so much as I have in the last 10 years or so. Outside history groups that I talk with, the word Communism was a scarcity. Now you have it being mentioned as if it's just around the corner. What's even more hilarious is that when it's mentioned by Trump gobshites, especially in America, it's in relation to Biden and the Democratic Party...which is an astonishing outlook on politics from any point of view. A country with Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee Neo-Liberal political parties and you have clowns talking about "Communism" and worse, clowns believing it.

It just reinforces the concept that there truly are incredibly dumb people out there that will lap up anything that someone says if they've set themselves up as their "leader". It's absolutely amazing. No critical thinking whatsoever. Just belief, irrespective of every other bit of information that comes their way.

But it's a symptom of what political thinking, if it can even be called that, has become for a lot of people. Simple catchphrases and mantras repeated ad nauseam. All without context or or any kind of grounding. Just keep repeating a particular buzz word and it'll go into enough empty minds to make some sort of difference.

It might be worth noting that the statement didn't claim Trump is still the president, just the 45th president and he didn't blame the Biden administration for the Covid deaths that have occurred so far this year. It makes the statement look like it had two scripters, A person acknowledging in 16 words the facts on who's president and the pandemic, and then the usual input from Trump. Maybe Rupert Murdoch's boardroom speech has got across to those alleging loyalty to Trump and reality is coming back to some in the GOP.

USA is totally screwed imo.

Its a major plus talking point for Biden if Trump runs again.

Trump talked incessantly about infrastructure, how he knew more than anyone, but he had 4 years and achieved nothing.

Biden delivered with his 1st year.

One gets stuff done, the other just talks about it.

Pennsylvania Republican Sean Parnell is suspending his campaign for Senate.

Parnell, endorsed in the race by Trump, lost a fight for custody of his children to his estranged wife, who had accused him of abuse in court testimony.

More and more, these statements descend into utterly nonsensical rambling. Before long, it will look like this :-

Not good at all that for the Dems, Trump could have easily powered Parnell through a primary but he would have been toxic in a run off running on a MAGA type platform. I dunno who will win that primary, but it would be interesting if Toomey takes back his retirement. He may struggle to win a primary after voting to impeach Trump, but the state is not a Trump stronghold at all.

I think looking at some of the awful candidates running for senate, parnell along with Greitens in MO and the freakshow that is the Ohio primary, Parnell was the biggest concern for the GOP. Walker in Georgia,,,who knows.

He has so much baggage but maybe if its a wave year then he could win, but obviously shaping up to be the most interesting senate race atm.

What's going to be fascinating to see who can Trump carry a primary for when it comes to 2022.

Mark Meadows wrote in his new book that Trump tested positive for Covid-19 three days [26 Sept] before the 1st debate with Biden held on 29 Sept 2020 and did not tell anyone Covid-19 had hit him. Trump was rushed to Walter Reed hospital by helicopter from the W/House at the start of Oct 2020.

I expect from this revelation and from his decision to appear before the Congress committee investigating the insurrection bid at The Capitol by Trump supporters on the 06 Jan this year that it may be taken that there is a split between both men unless, of course, this a plan by Meadows and others with experience to waste the committee's time on behalf of Trump.

It's beginning to look like a war between men, women and women over body integrity rights with a version of religious rights being used as a cover to overturn the Roe V Wade judgement. Hopefully the court will see sense and stick with the existing judgement as the standard for women's rights over those of people who want to destroy those rights. As for the judges, ruling on something which some of them are more than likely to have a bias against should have obliged them to step aside temporarily from sitting on the bench on this issue. A case of one sense of morality over-ruling the other obligatory sense of morality for judges.
